    Just a trace of rain here yesterday and overnight. Beautiful day out there, 72F with DP at 61 and going down.

    Got 1.10" late last night with a couple of rumbles of thunder. 2 day total of 2.22" - shouldn't have to water for a couple of days, lol. 70F currently and a little humid.

    I was pretty surprised to see a couple of lightning bugs last night. 1st warm night and there they were! 70F here currently.

    Agree 100%. Not enough of a root system to take the heat, although semi shaded areas could have a chance. Usually when I seed in the spring it's a temporary aesthetic fix and maybe to reduce erosion, but I pretty much count on re-doing it in the fall. I understand Eskimo's desire to get some nice grass going, but I found some humor in wanting 6" or more of rain next week right after seeding. An internal conflict, lol.

    If you get the kind of rain you're hoping for, it could move the dirt and seed around a little bit. Then again, it's the weather - you never really know. I'll usually roll the dice, but I've also had my share of do-overs. Sometimes that ideal stretch of weather is hard to come by, and sometimes it happens when it's not expected. Like if you got 1" total of rain next week, that would be great for germination. It makes it interesting.

    Not taking anything away from the cool start to this month, and I don't know what the high will be there tomorrow, but 2020 might have to settle for 4th place? If you can get past tomorrow, you've got a shot at May 22nd... Interesting that just last year is tied for 3rd place at May 19th!

    Lol....sorry about that! Take 3 aspirin every 4 hours until your veins stop bulging. Disclaimer, I am not a doctor, so don't take me seriously. 41F here currently.

    Had snowflakes at 47F here back on April 16th...but 52 does seem a smidge warm. This year you could have a snow flake and flower petal mix blowing by.

    Tomorrow looks like the last day of winterspring, then we get 2 days of springspring, followed by ? days of summerspring. Haha.

    Made it down to 34.9F here which was pretty much the forecast low. Had covered up a couple of things last night with frost blankets, just in case, but had also rolled the dice with a few others. So it worked out. (Was concerned more about a freeze, not so much about frost, due to low humidity and breezes). Currently all the way up to 49F, which exceeds yesterday's high by a degree. Looking forward to 62 today!

    Low here was 33.6F. Currently 40, with plenty of sunshine for the moment at least. Seeing snow in May last night was way cool, definitely the event of the snow season for me. I know it wouldn't take much given the lack of snow this past winter, but even if we had received a lot, this would be special due to the rarity.

    Okay, you can have it then, lol. Not that I wish frozen vegetation on your neighbors of course. Calling for 35 here for the low which would be fine, no frost with the wind and all. Eta - moon is out here now with partly cloudy skies. Not quite full but almost. Good for a January style nightwalk, lol.

    Can we skip the 32F please, lol. Don't really want to dig out the frost blankets again! Congrats on the snow!

    Snow here as well, before midnight mostly rain with a few flakes mixed in, confirmed by the windshield splat test. Then over the last 20 minutes, rain snow mix would change over to mostly snow for a minute, then back to the mix. Woohoo and wow. Snow on May 9th! 37F here currently and pretty much ended, but well worth being up for. That's 7 months in a row now with snow, in the air at least. Congrats to every one who got to see it!

    43F here now. I concur on the flakes.

    Still 45F here, but the cold air means business - looking at obs in PA, most of the state is well into the 30's already. Wind is cranking here too.
