  1. Not sure how accurate the RAP model is … I’m just looking for juiciness.
  2. .5” of qpf would drop 5-6” of fluff, especially with temps in the mid 20s. 12:1 ratios
  3. Unreal how juiced it is , only to fall apart as it moves east…. Or will it? I’d like to atleast get a 2”-4” event out of it.
  4. Actually I didn’t. It may have been closer to 5”. I was surprised also how quick it had melted.
  5. I got right at 4” from this past storm here in Varina. Wouldn’t mind another 4” to get me near climo, this early in the season. I think right now, we’re in a good spot for this next event.
  6. I’d rather see a southern slider than have it come up the coast. We’d stay in the cold air rather than risk warm air getting infiltrated into the storm.
  7. RIC almost doubled their totals. Definite southward shift in means.
  8. The biggest threat to this system is going to be the Apps mountains.
  9. Nothing more than a glorified cold front which breaks up coming over the mountains. Ridiculous.
  10. I don’t think any storm will be modeled until 3 days before it actually takes place, especially with this upcoming pattern.
  11. GFS high temps on the Dec29th. Put it in the bank. Only warm verifies.
  12. Slight dusting at my Aunts house in Pinehurst NC this morning.
  13. BWI- 12.3 IAD- 16.6 DCA- 10.1 RIC- 17.4 (Tie breaker) SBY- 9.3 This winter setup will hit Ric with 2 southern sliders,
  14. Shipping “experts” say that it would’ve taken a ship that size, with that much weight, over a mile to come to a stop.
  15. My daffodils are up. They’re going to enjoy the rains over the next 2 months. Thank you Lake Cutters!!
