If it's going to be fall in January, we might as well call back the NHC to issue advisories on Hurricane Arlene as it rapidly intensifies into a Cat 4...and runs up the Bay. Do those bring snow?
Right. As horrific as it is now, a decent event in late January here, fluke in February there, and nice March would probably get us out of rat territory and closer to climo.
We need a good hemispheric flush of this garbage.

Unless it’s a situation where there’s a last minute model bust, I’m usually happy with a snowfall, whatever it is, in the moment.
The subjective grading on the season as a whole is another story.
I want numbers on the board. I don’t care what they are. In my location if I need a double digit snowfall to be excited I might as well move on to February.
