    I’ve got two reports of 3” out of Mystic and Uncasville respectively. Westerly had a 1.9” report shortly after 7am. We see it differently, which is ok. I didn’t say anyone was calling bust, but when the radar was modeled to look poor at this moment it’s not a surprise when it does. I’m just saying let it play out folks—no need to warm up the football spike or gently rub the bust button.

    We do this literally every storm after following model runs incessantly right up to game time. Folks rushing to convey that they have fingers rubbing the bust button. If you thought you’d wake up to 2-4” at 12z please log off and go back to sleep.

    I don’t really believe it, but the Euro has quite a bit of ZR in CT during the late morning/early afternoon. Temps don’t touch 30 at Hartford.

    Backyard bar is 3.5”. That’d put me into double digits for the season.

    Agree. I hit the potential glaze pretty hard in the forecast. We can handle 2-5 easy, it’s when you got light zr in the upper 20s inland when it starts to become higher impact. That, and just the timing of work/school.

    I just can’t grasp it. The delusional faith in flakes stuff drives me up a wall but at least those people are happy warriors. It’s possible to rationally discuss an unpleasant season and/or forecast/storm. It’s also totally ok to melt and rant—just not everyday or every other post in a dedicated analysis/tracking thread. The palpable misery is what gets me.

    Yes, Panic Room spin off. When I started that thread years ago it was supposed to be a place where people could vent and find comedic relief. But unfortunately, people take winter and themselves way too seriously. It’s unbearable.

    This morning on AmWx: New England TBlizz and the Gang of Meh get real about winter, and the Wolf is UNLEASHED. Will mods and mets leave the board? Will winter 2023-24 go the way of the Dallas Cowboys—one and done? When will Berg snap? Will the Pope make a triumphant return and sound the “Inferno Series” goose call? This and more during the dumbest ******* season we have.

    If we end up at 30% of climo probably not, but the point is well taken. It’s too much work being miserable for weeks on end when winter wx isn’t meeting expectations. You just have to take it as it comes. Radical thought I know.

    Agree, would probably drag the 1-3” line a little further west along the CT coast, but no reason to overthink it. The icing piece may be an issue.
