  1. I am guessing it was Hamilton at the Landmark Theater. It's always entertaining just to see how often people go the WRONG way on this ONE way street. I get anxious watching it, but they usually figure it out pretty quickly. Thankful it's not a high-speed road.
  2. Yeah, not too far away. I was watching all the people too. It's definitely not usually THAT busy. I am thinking a show or something let out, as there were lots of dressed-up people walking around. Armory Square is one of the nicest parts of Syracuse.
  3. No, I'm in the Northwest corner of the county. It's been a "better" winter here than most of the rest of the county (with the exception of the Route 20 corridor from Skan. to Caz) where they've been the jackpot zone. One of the wintriest nighttime shots of downtown Syracuse for the season tonight: Armory Square Webcam in Syracuse, NY | Armory Cam
  4. I just looked out. It's snowing decently, but the best stuff is definitely to the south of the Thruway.
  5. Snowed pretty heavily late this afternoon and early evening. I picked up a couple of inches with pavement even getting covered.
  6. Exactly. Lol... Thanks! BGM is usually more conservative with their maps, and I know to follow theirs. So, when they usually show a healthier amount, I think they're seeing something that would make it more of a reality.
  7. Yawn. The Syracuse suckfest continues on. I hate NW flow lake effect. We maybe have gotten two inches, but it melts, then a new dusting, then melts... somewhat of a snowcover, but hard to get much more with the crap elevation and the ever-so-typical showery scope of lake effect. We rarely ever see consistent snowfall like the Tug and Buffalo areas. I am sure this will put BGM over SYR even though we were "supposed" to get more.
  8. Hard to get accumulation when your front yard's a lake.
  9. BUF went even higher on snow totals SE of the lake. This would imply 6 inches for here. Doubtful though.
  10. Looks like it's now snowing in Rochester via the Jines webcam.
  11. Doubtful. The Utica to Rome area actually misses out on Lake Effect MANY times. The average there is 80 to 100 inches.
  12. West Leydon house, for sure. Good snow retention there too. The one located near Holland Patent will bring you the same issues you had near Lowville, with even less average snowfall.
  13. That area has been THE Lake effect snowbelt since January. Every single event.
  14. The Hyundai Santa Fe I owned for 12 years was amazing in the snow. I absolutely loved that car. My Nissan Altima isn't nearly as good in the snow, but that little thing goes around turns like a pro and has great acceleration. It's very easy to accidentally speed in that vehicle. Plus, it can get 37 miles per gallon...filling the tank up once can give over 600 miles on one tank!
  15. We'll see about this...hopefully this will increase the lead SYR has over BGM. Fighting for 3rd place. How far we've fallen.
  16. It's quite dark and dreary with low clouds today. I thought for sure that it was about to rain, but it doesn't look like much on radar.
  17. Lol...more of the same garbage we have had for the past three winters here.
  18. Low elevation-wise, Volney to Mexico is one of the best spots in Oswego county and this general snowbelt for Lake effect snow.
  19. Lol. Buffalo determined to not let any of the other cities in NY state get anywhere close to its total for this stupid season.
  20. Thanks for your kind words. You guys are making me miss my home state...which hasn't happened in a LONG time.
  21. Seriously...just get rid of the grass and go for waterfront property...
  22. Lol...good memory! Well I thought that...but I was like, "How does he know?!?!" I have to be careful with sharing so much...hahaha
  23. Thanks! I would like that. I "lol"ed at the confederate flags. True...and sad. There were plenty of people at Penn Manor who had them waving in their trucks...and most of them were big a-holes. So much more I could say, but won't... Lol. I don't know what I am missing about the rabbit food? I actually am a vegetarian...lol (although bacon pulls me in occasionally.)
  24. Well, I am a Centrist/Moderate and try to understand things from different perspectives...which many of them see as "weak." I was silly and stupid for thinking I could actually try to have a rational conversation. They ripped into me and accused me of a whole bunch of nonsense. So, some of the guys from here were just giving me kudos on how I conducted myself. Sorry it was brought up, but I really appreciated the support, as I felt pretty alone in my thoughts after the pile of crap I went through yesterday. It was encouraging to know that there are other sane, rational adults that still exist. I enjoy you guys on here!
