  1. It's been dumping all morning here. The models did show western Onondaga getting a couple more inches than Northeastern Onondaga. I disregarded it as them being dumb, but maybe there was some merit to that? I think you guys up there get skunked by downsloping since you're closer to the Tug. I also have noticed you seem to record less in Synoptic events.
  2. Nice. Looks like it set up right along the Ridgeline. Orographic effects?
  3. With just a light snow falling to put a fresh little layer on top. That's how I liked it when doing cross country skiing.
  4. Downsloping off the Dacks? I live on a hill. You should have come here and gone skiing at THM mountain. Working towards 6 inches.
  5. I just cleared off my wife's car (she has to work today...tax firm) and there was about 5 inches on it already. Ironically, it was one of the the fluffiest and easiest cleans of the winter. In March. Only a very tiny sliver on the bottom seemed wetter. The transition from wet snow to REAL snow must have happened quite quickly with the front. Beautiful out there!
  6. Interesting look on radar. As the main area of precip moves in from the South, there are little cells racing into it from the lake.
  7. Moderate snow here with a thick covering. It's coming your way.
  8. Wow, when I looked on the Elmwood cam just 20 minutes ago it looked like a wet dusting on the grass. Now it looks all white.
  9. Enjoy, Pittsburgh crew! The zone that has been getting screwed all winter...from you guys to up here in Syracuse and towards Burlington look to get the "jackpot" this time. It stinks that we get it in mid March and it will melt quickly...but hey, snow is snow. Enjoy!
  10. It looks like Niagara on the Lake already has snow (two inches?) accumulating on everything but the roads. Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario - Queen Street | BuffaloWebcam.com | Live Webcams from Buffalo, New York USA
  11. Per usual, here in the stupid heatropolis of Sizzlesaharacuse the temp jumped about 5 degrees to 50 degrees the second the wind turned from the blistering South. The snow will be melting from beneath the whole time it falls. Then the rest of it will melt quickly as the crocuses come out when we overperform into the 60s next week.
  12. A NW shift? OF COURSE NOT. Not when we actually need it. Only happened EVERY OTHER TIME this stupid season.
  13. You can have it. I find Syracuse to be absolutely ridiculous and a hell furnace of disgusting air that heats when an animal farts from one of the higher hills to the south.
  14. Looks to me like the Syracuse area is going to get what I call the Syracuse Synoptic Six. 6 inches. Seems to be the maximum we can ever get from synoptic storms these days. So-so ending to an amazingly frustrating winter.
  15. Seriously. What is up with the stupid snow hole in Northern Onondaga county all winter?
  16. Tis true. Sledders ride more in the mud than snow on the Tughill these days.
  17. He is THE most conservative meteorologist around here. Almost always below everybody else and forecast guidance. But, my guess is he was going with 12z runs for that and thus, his forecast would make sense.
  18. Yeah, they have been minimizing amounts there all winter. (Haven't been too wrong, I suppose! haha)
  19. Waaaaay better. lol 12Z for its entire run: 18z for only up to 54 hrs. (So much better...lol. P.S. Check out the N. Syracuse Screw zone. Haha. Downsloping? Always something.): There's gotta be a "Great Oz behind the curtain" playing with the controls.
  20. "Hey, guys! There were decimal points at the beginning of those numbers! Sorry you couldn't see the fine print.'
