  1. The HRRR and Rap seem to be trying to show some surprise snowfall tomorrow. Would be nice, but I am skeptical of there being enough cold.
  2. Can we get more of that to spread up into NY as well?
  3. Hopefully we can get things to trend our way for next weekend. It looks like a deep push of cold air. It could be one of our best shots for a Noreaster if the cold air moves in fast enough.
  4. Hey, @LakeEffectKing, we got an honorable mention from BGM in their discussion! A short window of lake effect snow looks somewhat favorable Monday night, and may produce a couple inches of snow from around Baldwinsville to Cazenovia.
  5. Hopefully your mulch is in the shade to maximize chances.
  6. Got rid of the disgusting hell-furnace south wind and the temp dropped 22 degrees in the past several hours from 72 to 50! It dropped 10 degrees in just the last hour alone. I was already sweating today (and I'm not fat). lol. I just hate warm weather...my body likes to be cool.
  7. ...to what has been the snow zone this winter. East of a Finger Lakes to Watertown line it shows the same 'ol theme of the winter.
  8. The old record for today for Sizzlesaharascorchercuse was 67 degrees. Currently 74 degrees at the airport. This city is going through a major warming climate. So many warm records have been broken while I've lived here.
  9. Oh, look!!! Syracuse is the warmest place in the state...I am sooooooooooooooooooooo shocked..... "rolling eyes til they fall out of my head"
  10. Yep! It was sublimating by like 9/ 9:30. lol You and Buffaloweather disagreed with me...but this is the same crap pattern we've been stuck in for months. So tired of it.
  11. I was thinking the exact same thing and wasn't about to be the first to post about it. I avoided checking the models the past 2 days and was dumb and looked this morning. Overnight runs for Monday: Syracuse, below the best snow line with Buffalo to Watertown yet again getting the snow.
  12. Thanks for sharing that beautiful look. Please lock it in! P.S. More than half of that actually comes from the event early next week.
  13. Nice, wintry looking day for early March. Big fluffies this morning and it's actually a deeper winter overcast right now, with the trees coated in snow.
  14. You can tell this isn't just lake effect fluff though, as the snowcover on some of the roads and parking lots still hasn't melted. If it was all lake effect, it would have been gone by 10 am.
  15. I disagree. It is not worthless when it is showing a similar setup to many we've already had. It can help to give an indication of where the front may set up again. Unfortunately, that is not where we want it. Hopefully we'll see things shift a bit more south by next week.
  16. This one...is the one that we in CNY (and eastern NY) are SO sick of seeing this year:
  17. Big, beautiful fluffers in this weak-looking band. I'm not used to seeing many of these NNW bands.
  18. Looks like a lake effect band is moving in here. Miiiiight be able to make it to 4 inches if it takes its time. It's been sort of a funny couple weeks that probably doesn't amuse winter or spring lovers. Thawing, with the snowpack slowly melting away and not much new snow...but then just as the grass starts to show, the ground gets covered again the next day. lol. Our snowpack from last Friday's system was starting to show patches of grass as of last evening, but the grass is gone again. Are we heading into another late winter "arrival" and then jumping to summer in May? I know I am going to invest less in model watching, as I'm done with the emotional games of the models jumping north and south 100 miles with us on the line (probably why Syrmax is so down on the upcoming pattern). Hoping for a couple more weeks of winter with some big dogs, but also keeping it in perspective that whatever we get is bonus snow on the season.
  19. 1.25 inches of wet snow; Coming down steadily with a temp of 29 degrees.
  20. It actually looks pretty good through Tuesday (just ignore the typical lesser amount in CNY compared to the rest of those in the "main band.")
  21. Surprise half inch this morning... Man, this winter has been maddening with all this timing system on fronts and hoping we're on the "right side." It hasn't worked out much for CNY, so my hopes aren't very high.
  22. Sorry, I missed this. Best wishes! I look forward to seeing where you end up.
