  1. I’m not getting involved in the climate argument, I’m just here to say that media is first and foremost an entertainment business that relies on ratings including the news outlets.
  2. Neat, what’s your elevation difference?
  3. Good to hear minimal damage up North and probably some upslope gain coming tomorrow. Pretty meh’ in NW MA, sucks to have rain but snow loss will be compaction and freeze.
  4. Watching radar earlier E Franklin Co and W ORH Co were definitely getting some heavy radar returns.
  5. Congrats, you generally do jackpot in winter events! Lol looks like .45” in my rain gauge.
  6. Same. .50” Misery mist. 38F edit: only .45”
  7. That was a general 6-10" for the interior?
  8. Pouring here now but this stuff looks to lift through pretty rapidly. Should hit 0.50" which will be within NWS BOX forecast call albeit on the low side.
  9. Nice little New England mountain tour you guys are doing.
  10. Actually looks like Berks and Worcester Co. will have some pretty good rain totals so maybe there will be some 1"+ amounts. I-91 corridor getting the lighter returns which is fine with me if it's rain.
  11. 0.30” today. Radar says maybe we hit 0.50”? Bit of a fail on model qpf which was mostly 1”+
  12. Hopefully February brings the goods in terms of snow. It is a classic old-school New England mountain and when it is wide open it is super fun! Wachuesett has more trails (and is fantastic) but B’East has more vertical and glades if we can actually get them open.
  13. B’East folks did a damn fine job making that mountain enjoyable today! Once again, a little rain in the forecast kept folks away but conditions were great through the afternoon.
  14. Been pretty light here and did not even start until 2 PM. Congrats NYC and HV so far on rain totals.
  15. I did not see any forecast that had that. Perhaps for a brief time tomorrow morning?
  16. Was that going to be a thing? Light rain 36F here. B’East was good today. Rain held off until 2pm
  17. They must’ve blown snow on lower lift line all week because it was in great shape.
  18. Nice morning at Berkshire East no lines and the snow was real nice packed powder and soft machine groomed.
  19. Yes and some folks couldn't care less about the quality of wood they burn in them or if its green.
  20. Imagine if they get a rainer followed by a freeze? Glacier type stuff.
  21. We only seem to have them here in the summer but maybe less wood stoves here too?
  22. Half of the New England forum would, at this point, do well to take a few days off from Weather and go enjoy something else. I’m going to go ski in the morning before the rain comes and enjoy the second Saturday this month that will have featured “spring skiing”
  23. It’s almost comical that we have an air quality alert in southern New Hampshire and a chance of convection this weekend. Seasons in Seasons
  24. Lots of ice fishing around here but this week has also been very cold.
