    Snoozer as far as SWFE go. Does not have that menacing wall of snow look you like to see.

    You should be OK up there but now it’s almost time for the NAM to start spitting out warmer and warmer mid-level intrusions, that SNE weenies will convince themselves is over done or wrong.

    The entire 6z GFS run was weak sauce for winter cooking. Friday is trending shredded mess with unimpressive qpf.

    Also, you never like to rely on two parts storms delivering modeled totals because one part almost always disappoints. The upslope component should be more reliable than anything synoptic for your area.

    Maybe you and Kevin can go chase one together sometime. Bring some zip together sleeping bags because power will be out.

    Ice will be more elevation dependent? I think under 1000’ is 35° rain. Just seems like not enough time for cold enough air to drain in for a good CAD.

    I think tomorrow 12z onward is the day we see either a reversal on models or the trend start to lock in towards colder.

    Heh’ not only did I not see the conjunction, I’ve been waiting over a week to just see Saturn and Jupiter at all through my neighbor’s telescope. 8th cloudy night in a row I believe. New England is not ideal for astronomy.

    I have only had the one snow storm this year. Doesn’t really matter how far behind I am on the snow table, it’s all an even playing field again now. It’s like going into overtime in a basketball game. Doesn’t matter what came before.

    We are talking about someone who will spend hours blowing snow from the shady parts of his yard into the sunny parts of his yard later in the season. I think I need a bunch of you to come over and we just show up as the snow mafia and give him a “talking to”.

    My snow hating neighbor is out raking right now, it makes me want to tackle him.

    There is a long way to go, trend wise, to get ice down into SNE. I am not a huge ice storm fan but I guess I would prefer it on bare ground than on snow cover. Makes it more interesting.

    This was an all-time great Grinch. I almost always maintain a pack through these and I will be down to a couple of piles, if that.

    What a f’n vacation week disaster for ski areas. You are not really fixing this with a night or two of snow making. Hopefully, if we do get a cutter next week, it’s not an absolute torch like this one. No safe pond ice between here and Caribou and probably not much ice at all.
