  1. Biggest hills are to my West. Do have some bigger hills about 20mi E of me. I don't really care as long as it's not rain. I'll take my 6" of baking powder while Hubby gets 20" of feathers.
  2. Yeah but latitude will be important too. Yeah, I'd feel better over 1000' but I guess that's true with most storms right? Could be a shadow job of baking powder here and worse in the lower valley.
  3. Can always adjust up if needed.
  4. It’s funny how perceptions are because I did not look at the thermometer this morning before I went out with the dog and I was thinking to myself it was 10 or 15° out. This cold stretch is good though because the pond ice was not trustable.
  5. Got down to 1° this morning. Will this be the year without a zero?
  6. I'd prefer elevation for this one as currently modeled but lat/long will certainly help.
  7. Mohawk Trail SP (Charlemont/Savoy border) has year round cabins if you are feeling adventurous.
  8. Yeah, you do not want to rely on needing a wound up bomb dynamically cooling you. If it’s going to be a more robust high you will have a better idea by 12z Wednesday runs.
  9. Ok, so my not being impressed in Amherst means it must’ve been a valley fail.
  10. I was doing my first go round in W MA back then and I don't remember that storm being very impressive but I was in Amherst so maybe it was shadow central?
  11. Take the nostalgia to the banter thread folks, I need more frantic hyper-analysis of models for a day 6 system!
  12. Again, as some have mentioned, the sampling for this is pretty much none right now, let's see how things look on Wednesday.
  13. There is only so far W this can go in the modeled pattern.
  14. Still 500mi goal posts, no model is going to move me until mid-week.
  15. That's probably how ice ages begin.
  16. When is it not a Hubby kind of winter?
  17. I was thinking the same thing. Congrats NJ while we have cloudy skies and flurries.
  18. Post a video when you get a chance.
  19. Would've been nice to have more than an hour of sun today to completely melt off the driveway after clearing.
  20. Who cares this far out? Let's see if there is any consistency next few days.
  21. It will be good practice for you for the spring.
  22. Some light snow here atm. Wasn't expecting that. Certainly have not had much sun today. 36F
  23. All the models have shown improvements since yesterday, even the Euro. Still not there yet though.
  24. In an alternate reality I average 100" per year on ggem storms.
  25. January 26-27 2005 there were whole streets like that in Cambridge. 30"+ just west of Boston.
