    I don’t remember what year but mid 90s I was up at the house in Kingfield ,when my brother still had it, and there was accumulating snow in early June up in the Sugarloaf/Bigelow range.

    We are six weeks away from summer solstice, anybody in SNE expecting snow Is setting themselves up for disappointment. Looking back to May 1977 one could say sure, we are due for a once in 50 year event but maybe that was a once in 100 year event or whatever.

    What were snow totals in the Hartford area from that storm? Greenfield was 14” of fairly heavy but the hills had 20” or more of fluff.

    Yup, I would say count on nothing so you won’t be disappointed and then anything you get is gravy.

    I guess maybe the snow was a little lighter in Greenfield in the Oct 11’ event but we didn’t start having limbs go until well over 4”.

    Why should model consensus be any different in spring than winter?

    Widespread power issues, even with leaf out you need 5-6” or more.

    We stick with window units just because I hate home AC. We use it during heat waves but hours of AC makes me feel like shit. That’s why in BN summers I never even install. I do use it in the car though when necessary.
