Definitely, the radar says it all. Nine out of 10 times the Hilltowns would be snowing with this setup but the air mass is so marginal you need to be parked under a death band to be getting a flip to snow.
Just got off the phone with my buddy up at Berkshire East and he said all rain there right now. I guess elevation not as much of a factor out this way.
I fear there’s going to be an insane gradient of haves and have nots with this one.
even in your area I could see Worcester getting double what you get and you getting double what Amherst gets.
Regardless of outcome, from a pure Weather enthusiast perspective, this will be a fun one to watch unfold. Meteorology and modelology vs the actual manifestations of the atmosphere’s calling the tune.
Absolutely and I know it’s just a matter of averages balancing out it is just been a little bit frustrating.
Also, no offense to N ORH Co folks, I am jealous of their snow but I would take W Franklin Co life all day long!
I wish I could share your enthusiasm but I’m not feeling it for this one. Hope I’m wrong since my kid thinks we are sledding in Heath on Sunday morning.
How often do they miss out? It’s more angst than wood. LOL.
I live 25 minutes from Berkshire East and 40 from Mount Snow and have been amazed over the past 10 years how much better central mass does than southern Vermont or the Berkshires.
In SNE the eastern and western screw zone potential is pretty big. I thing Worcester Co. up through Central Maine is golden and pretty much has been since Tuesday night.
