  1. -24F in Rangely is the lowest I've experienced. I think that was 1985? I have been in -40 wind chills in Carrabassett Valley with a temp around -10F
  2. I average between 55-60" so I suppose 24" on Jan 31st isn't quite ratter but it's been a very meh' winter.
  3. Don't tell Kevin, he'll say it sucks compared to Tree House.
  4. One of the better New England IPA's out there, you've come a long way!
  5. OK, so what makes a squall line re-energize like tonight? It was was ripping in E NY, kind of meh' from the E slope of the Berks through central Ma then banging when it got near the I-495 area.
  6. Howling gusts outside right now. A rare 2 wood stove night, have the Jotul cranking in the basement to take the edge off for tomorrow.
  7. A little underwhelming here but the lingering snow showers over NW MA are nice and should stick around for a bit. .25" new.
  8. "Berkshire fade" save that phrase for severe season. Maybe 3 good gusts so far and 5 minutes of +SN. Hopefully this recharges for folks to the E but don't hold your breath. Fraud five still alive...
  9. I dunno' as potent as it is there is a bit of the "Berkshire fade" on radar, maybe we get a reinvigorated snow shield as it comes East?
  10. Thanks! Small and humble (1400 sq/ft) but huge yard and easy to heat.
  11. At least it looks like mid-winter. Very deceptive picture since we held onto a good deal of snow after the last cutter this part of the valley only torched for a couple of hours.
  12. 40 minutes unjamming the snowblower flywheel was fun.
  13. I think Greenfield might be down a plow or two based on how slow they were clearing streets so maybe that was the reason they called school so early. My street was not plowed until like 4am which is very unusual. I'm used to hearing plows hourly.
  14. As currently advertised, next week is rain to Quebec City. The w.e. in far NNE pack will be quite impressive come Spring.
  15. I'm curious to know why Greenfield called school off so early yesterday when all the other districts are just 2 hour delay? Usually Greenfield is pretty tough about that but they had already cancelled by 4pm yesterday. They must have been either worried about the afternoon squalls (unlikely they are that dialed into the wx)) or maybe concerned that there is still a lot of icy sidewalks and glacier pack from last week. Weird.
  16. 4.25" here. 18F 23.5" for the season.
  17. Gotta go to bed but some SN+ in this last band, should get to 4"...
  18. 3.7" need that last push to break 4", looks like the last band could do it if it holds coming across the E Slope.
  19. Radar has been really interesting tonight, a lot of little screw zones and bonus zones. N Quabbin area up through Keene definitely under-performed. Springfield area over to Tolland maybe over-performed? Radar looks like Pickles wished himself a mini-dryslot but hopefully for Ray that fills in.
  20. 3.5" so your forecast verifies here.
