  1. 5” of sleet would be insane, driving on secondary roads would be treacherous at best. Misery to clean up, snow blower won’t like it but can’t really let it sit and freeze on the driveway.
  2. I was in a book store in Northampton tonight and had to buy this when I saw it. Tons of old pictures, and great history. Hopefully we don’t ever have a repeat.
  3. I’ve seen 3”+ sleet in Greenfield and it’s intense. Driving is treacherous.
  4. @40/70 Benchmark isn’t here right now so I’ll just chime in with the obligatory “of course there is”.
  5. Ice storms in SNE are not quite a fraud five but they get honorable mention.
  6. Euro at least gets a few inches here after the rain/sleet.
  7. Berks are way below normal snowfall, I was really hoping they could grab 6”+ from this.
  8. D Terrible snow wise. I’m at 15” and I average close to 60”. All of Western MA has been bad but the NW area of the state has the biggest deficits. Last I knew Savoy, at 2000’ was only at 20” At least it’s been cold so we’ve been able to get out on the ice.
  9. Enjoy the sposh it’s the only sposh you’ve got. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/sposh
  10. I would trust it more with the mid levels than the 2m temps
  11. At this rate I’m not going to be even close to normal. I have 40” to go...
  12. Seems reasonable. These types of events max out at or below a foot of snow.
  13. Plows would be shearing off of their truck mounts from the weight of it.
  14. I can't imagine that any location, anywhere, has ever gotten 10" of sleet. Right?
  15. I'm planning on heavy snow and sleet. Feeling good about 6"+ of snow and sleet. We just need frozen here for the big winter carnival.
  16. I think it’s easy to forget how difficult it is to pull off a big ice storm. This will be a combination of rain sleet and snow for most in SNE with maybe a narrow stripe of folks getting meaningful ice.
  17. Send it South, I'm all set. The realty is though, if it's pouring rain and 28F, my driveway may be a disaster but heavy precipitation will spare the trees and power lines.
  18. Zonked NAM and not in a good way? I’m on mobile so not looking at the models.
  19. Well, no matter what the storm does, this thread will be one to go back and read.
