    Yes it is. Northampton, right on the river, does better than Amherst. Those hills just to the east in Pelham and Shutesbury are pounding snow while Amherst sits in -SN.

    It’s not just placement of the frontogenesis that screws the valley. Hours of Easterly fetch tend to be underwhelming unless you are above 800’ elevation.
