    Since I’m over 50 and don’t like falling I have had crampons on a pair of boots by the front door since December. I’ve never had this much glacial ice in my yard for such a long stretch of time.

    Interesting because I’m only about 2 miles north of Route 2 so similar latitude as you and it is straight moderate paste here. Definite winter vibe here tonight on the first night of Met Spring.

    Only a few stray flakes here. Tough first day of meteorological spring. Overcast and a high, so far of 30°.

    Yeah, I am not a big fan of severe yet it’s the one thing that W MA does pretty well with. Once you’ve watched your life flash before your eyes you’re not really looking for a repeat.

    Yeah, these sound like the big Hercules planes. Sounds like it's two of them doing loops around the valley. They are fairly common out here just not with the frequency they are coming at.

    Yeah, dry heat is ok, I don't think I'll ever like hot and humid.

    They are going overhead every 10 minutes here. Could just be training exercises from Westover but very unusual to have this many.

    We've had about 8-10 military transport jets go over Greenfield the past hour.

    Poland giving Ukraine 2 dozen fighter jets is a dangerous game, Turkey blocking access to the Black Sea is a dangerous game, Finland shipping weapons to Ukraine is a dangerous game. All of it will make Putin feel a little more isolated and cornered and desperate.

    As far as I know, we are one of the only species, that intentionally pollutes it's own drinking water and food supplies.

    Whether it snows again or not this year, there’s still the possibility, that last Wednesday, was the warmest temperatures many of us see for another six plus weeks.

    One thing that is easy to forget about war, is that long after the shooting and bombing is over, there is a toxic, environmental disaster, left behind.

    I already know I will CAD for hours here, with cold rain and then end up with an ice glacier yard yet again. I am so done with the ice patches this year.

    Heavy snow shower laying down a quick quarter inch. Maybe more because it’s not done and it is just dumping, harder than at any point the other day.

    Yeah I know, a while back I signed up for one of those ridiculous six months of Boston Globe for .99/week Great news paper but it’s normal subscription prices are high.
