  1. I drove through your old neighborhood today and you would have been furious about how much snow fell just west of there. 6-8” at the old Pit and 15-20” in Heath and Rowe.
  2. The shot is just from a few hours ago driving through Heath.
  3. I was up in Heath visiting friends today and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bigger snow gradient than what we saw this storm. there is 16 to 18 inches at her house which is about 1200 feet elevation. Half of that or less when you drop down to about 900 foot elevation. Big east to west gradient also. Heath and West side of Colrain had similar amounts but when I got into MPM‘s old neighborhood it was probably half the amount of snow. Similar elevation just big gradient. Same thing with Dave and Whineminster and Subdude. I think they are all at or above 1000’ but were not even close to the totals at the same elevation in western Franklin County.
  4. We’ll, at least nobody gets left out!
  5. My niece and her boyfriend just got back from Spain and said it was amazing. Beautiful weather, great food and super laid back, wonderful people in the countryside.
  6. Let's just have it cut W of Wisconsin and get some warm breezy Fropa showers before the temps' crash. Don't need pouring rain or high winds.
  7. I just poured myself a professionally brewed, 10% blueberry barley wine, that I helped design, so I'm feeling better about my weather situation now.
  8. I just picked up my kid from a friends house 3 miles away and it was a completely different snow covered landscape.
  9. I mean, really? Greenfield is that tiny green dot in the sea of blue.
  10. Yeah, Greenfield is the even smaller dot of rain on that radar image.
  11. You can't make this shit up. Lower elevations South of here are snowing now. I'm sure it has something to do with topography but man it's a grab the ankles and retreat to your happy place night. I can drive to snow in any direction regardless of elevation. I'm done melting now, even if the last of my snow cover isn't, carry on.
  12. I generally try not to get too agitated by these things but I just picked my kid up, from a friends house in Colrain and it is literally dumping silver dollars, a half mile up the road from my house but raining in my front yard. 100' elevation difference at best.
  13. New Salem coming in 4 inches? That town has serious elevation. So yeah weird event.
  14. I’m hearing reports of over a foot in Plainfield and Savoy.
  15. What is your elevation there? That is significantly more than Dave who is not far from you. What a gradient storm. Elevation ftw!
  16. You’ll be clearing the chute on the blower every five minutes. There’s part of me that’s glad we didn’t get that here today. Snowblower is down and I won’t have a new one until first week of January.
  17. This is from my friend up in Heath. She says at least 7” there. She said it is like shoveling wet sand.
  18. I thought you would have more. At least it’s net gainer! You’re going to want to clear that stuff before it freezes, that’s for sure.
  19. Oh man it won’t pan out that way but can you imagine a soueast screamer for SNE with wind damage? No snow or no power for Christmas Eve. Lol
  20. Precipitation has completely shut off here. Cloud deck is even a little bit brighter.
