  1. Radar is just lit up between Boston and Worcester. Just a few degrees temp difference and this would’ve been a thumping for a lot of MA.
  2. It’s not like this type of a model shift is that anomalous us either. Certainly seen this happen before at this lead time. It seems like more often than we don’t see them come back after seeing this type of shift?
  3. Jeez, makes you wonder why anybody would book a ski vacation in New England for Christmas week?
  4. I’ve watched six hours of non-accumulating snow today and then models trending strongly in the wrong direction for next week. I think I’m just gonna take a mental break this week and try and enjoy Christmas. If things still look like crap tomorrow night I’m out.
  5. Yeah I was not paying nearly as much attention to forecasts then as I do now. I just remember a bunch of years with below normal snowfall and listening to Harvey and Bruce say “cold and dry pattern.”
  6. Snowing here all day and I have maybe a half inch of glop.
  7. Sort of what happens all too often for Lenox, Pittsfield, North Adams.
  8. Yeah, I was wondering about that. I just posted up above how it looks like the best rates are to your north and west.
  9. It’s just frustrating because we all know that great patterns don’t necessarily produce great outcomes still it’s nice to have something to look forward to. Other than the folks in the hills around Gardener today, the general stingy snow pattern for the RT 2 area over to your hood continues.
  10. Best precipitation rates seem to be Gardener East and then along and West of the MA/NY border. Mitch’s area must be getting destroyed. He has had heavy echoes over SW Vermont all day.
  11. It’s odd because I’m about 200 feet higher in elevation than downtown Greenfield but it is sticking much better down there. Only thing I can figure is that I’m getting shadowed by the hills directly behind us and getting compromised snowfall rates?
  12. been snowing all day here and I have a little under an inch. I’m sure they’re getting crushed at elevation because the trees at the top of the hill behind my house look plastered with snow. I’m about a half hour walk from good snowfall. L O L
  13. Really hoping we could get some better rates in here but I’m not sure that’s going to happen. I will just resign myself to getting a half inch of glop that I can’t effectively clear off the driveway and will then freeze up during the overnight. still better than pouring rain I guess?
  14. Snowing pretty good here again but we can’t seem to sustain these bursts for more than 10 or 15 minutes at a time.
