  1. Interior definitely has snow chances in this pattern. Let’s see how much model variability there is over the next day or two and then we’ll have a better idea.
  2. The only thing getting nuked is going to be the Internet. I would be expecting cyberwars in the not too distant future that will disrupt global banking and commerce.
  3. I think if that comes to pass we could see Russia based cyber attacks against European and US financial institutions. Good times.
  4. This is the concern and likely his motive.
  5. There are a few dedicated threads there that have a lot of good links etc. It's reddit so you also get some shills and bots but still lots of good info there.
  6. 7.5" total yesterday, 25.25" for the season, still less than halfway to average. Be nice to break 30" at least.
  7. The first week of March looks normal to slightly below. Pretty tame and dry weather wise until end of the week. We'll see if the flow flattens a bit or the cutter screams North into the Great Lakes. Maybe some light accumulation for someone in SNE mid-week? In any case it will look wintery for a bit after today's snow.
  8. It's tough when your official station, for a large metro area, is basically sitting in a coastal marsh. The spot where it is warmest in the winter and often coolest in the summer.
  9. Three out of four for me like that but this year will be extra special, below normal, unless there is some March Hail Mary. i’m think I’m sitting at about 26” for the winter tonight. Less than half of average. Pretty fun storm today though. 7 to 8” of new snow and it snowed for 14 hours.
  10. .5” of the fluffy flakes since 6pm. Close to 8” total since 5am. 7” depth.
  11. JFC, 22° with 7 inches of fresh snow on the ground I just pulled a tick off the dog. He must’ve picked it up yesterday when we were torching.
  12. Snow was pretty dense here so fairly high impact storm. I was in downtown Greenfield this evening and it’s definitely winter wonderland with town plows trying trying to clear parking spaces on main street.
  13. Not accumulating much but it’s just been off and on Currier and Ives all afternoon and evening. Makes for a nice wintry appeal.
  14. You and I often have the same totals in these events.
  15. One more light burst rotating through from ENY to whiten up the plow piles. 7 inches probably a little bit more but I stopped measuring the on and off bursts of snow.
  16. Anybody who was buying those outputs deserves to be disappointed.
  17. Close to 7” here, tapering off again now. Did have about 20 minutes of freezing rain around 12:30.
  18. Dumping the past 30 minutes as the stuff in eastern New York rotates in. 7”might be possible
  19. There was one in Dec 2007 that dropped over a foot here, I would have to think about if there are any others. usually 6-10” is the norm from these.
  20. I mean, we have seen these produce a foot in our respective areas but all the ingredients need to come together for that. I was also a little surprised how aggressive the on air Mets were and the NWS. In the end the pike region was the winner, no surprise this year though. no complaints, still a decent storm and the snow has some meat to it. Still only gets me to about 24” for the year.
  21. This system flew through the area. The NWS 8-12” zone will be more like a 5-9” zone. The QPF was probably there but the snow growth was a limiting factor. Little over 6” here.
  22. lol, just after I posted you were getting the jackpot.
  23. Yeah, somebody in the mass pike corridor is going to jackpot. You guys are 20 mi N of the mix line and getting rewarded for it.
