    What a selfish prick and coward this guy was. Not only devastating the lives of all the victims and their families but also bringing fear to an entire community. The PTSD from this will run deep and last a lot longer than the news cycle of the event. I know this is true of any mass shooting event, it's just closer to home because I have family and friends in Maine.

    Yes, apparently a long rambling note. Obviously doesn’t mean he actually committed suicide. The whole situation is awful and bizarre.

    We still don't know if he targeted those he shot. However, if he didn't kill himself, he is obviously an angry, unstable individual and could strike again somewhere. That's the worrisome part of all this.

    The number of shotgun blasts going off in the woods, certainly won't help the nerves of folks in that area, if he hasn't been caught by then.

    I remember reading that back when it came out. Remarkable. There was also that dude that lived in a comfy underground bunker on Nantucket for years unnoticed.

    Yeah, watching the live feed a few law-enforcement vehicles have left. That’s not a sign that they are confident he is there in the house.

    You would think they would’ve rushed the house by now unless thermal imaging is still picking up somebody alive.

    Maybe they were baiting him into a false sense of security when they left the first time? Probably not but just a random thought I had. ABC news has good live coverage right now.

    Maine is big and sparse. Depending on his mode of travel and the head start he got, he could be pretty far away.

    Yeah, that’s weird. You would think that a boat on a river is a lot easier to find than somebody in a car or on foot. If the search drags on it will be torturous for the people in that area.

    Looks like a few chilly days early next week and then we moderate back to normal or slightly above. The coldest temps look to stay in the mid-west for first half of November. At least it looks relatively dry. GFS had a nice 'cane into S Florida at the end of the run.

    They are anticipating higher oil prices and stocking up to feel secure. The other issue is that there is less wood around, at least in WNE, because skidders couldn’t run as much this summer due to all of the mud. Also the wood guys are retiring and nobody in the younger generation wants to do it.

    We will see sone below normal temps next week but that Nov 3rd threat is a maybe mangled cat paws, at 1000’ in N Worcester County.

    I welcome the warmth but it would’ve been nice if there had been a freeze, to kill off the yellow jackets for the season. They will be going crazy end of this week.
