Fog never lifted out of the valley today. The visibility along route two still a quarter mile or less.
40° dense fog and bare ground isn’t the most uplifting in late December. I’ll get out in the woods with the dog later because I do enjoy a foggy day in the woods.
You have to figure there are trail compromises that won’t make themselves immediately shown.
edit: I am not at all trying to be negative, just cautious. I already live with ski injuries so, I take safety first.
