I don’t see an August furnace either. Back to seasonal normality.
Killer summer weekend in Falmouth, we picked a good time for a mini-vacation.
Mon/Tues look decent too.
Pattern will flip by mid August (15th to 20th) and the trough location will not necessarily be favorable for New England hurricanes. Maybe later in September but the odds obviously drop by then.
My yard is a little over 12" of precipitation this month with a week left to go. Fortunately it looks dry. I need to go back and check but I think I have had over 18" since June 1st.
I had friends who were at the harbor Pavilion in Boston tonight and the show got cut short due to heavy rain and lightning. They were pissed but I think standard policy is a 30 minute hold when there is lightning nearby. Reports that the Silver Line bus tunnels had several inches of water in them but service kept moving.
We were supposed to leave for Falmouth tonight but Rt 2 is closed in multiple places And apparently 91 S is crawling because of standing water in the road and the fact that 5&10 through Deerfield is closed as is Rt 116 and sections of Rt 47.
At least our car is all packed for an early start in the morning!
