  4. So when you hear someone say that everybody but us is getting snow they weren't exaggerating! https://www.arabnews.com/travel/it’s-snowing-saudi-arabia
  5. We always over-achieve at under-achieving!
  6. 28.5 / DP 27 Heavy sleet with big snowflakes mixing in
  7. 28.9 / 26 We had a 1/2 inch of snow and now all sleet in Severna Park??? WTF??? Why can't we ever just get a decent snowstorm?
  8. Temp: 37.5 DP: 35 Snow started mixing in with rain about 20 minutes ago. Temp has dropped one degree in 20 minutes.
  9. According Bernie Rayno that's next week!
  10. Yes sir! It is just still hard to look at those maps and not laugh! Every state in the country except Florida, Louisiana and South Carolina gets snow on the GDPS map. If it wasn't for Western MD we would be the 4th and final state! Given our placement in the overall CONUS geography of the country that is difficult to do! Once again - I say we overachieve at underachieving!
  11. And the RDPS concurs with the GDPS Mid-Atlantic Snow Hole!
  12. Just a quick reminder for anyone believing that the 41 inches showing on the current Euro will actually verify! The map below is pretty hard to do but we always seem to over achieve at underachieving! Lol!
  13. 36.1 degrees / dew-point 20 degrees - light snow just started 10 minutes ago
  14. Man this is such a tease! It looks like it should be coming right at us in the form of a coastal!!
  15. I know it is 300+ out so it will definitely verify - here we go! Trick or Treat?
  16. Maybe if we buy the weenie mobile and drive it around the area it will start snowing. It is available! https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/calgary/wienermobile-2-available-once-in-a-life-time-buy-12000-obo/1489694153?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=vip&fbclid=IwAR0HAovTZ1XETv7RsrFQF8SR1mVYHXnxmrzooOYNBed5b0l-u-OXOxk7fqY
  17. We would gladly take that week! After correcting the error you noticed for the 2004-2005 season that actually lifted that year to another above average (totaling 6 in that 20 year span).
  18. Wow - That is a great catch! I just went back and looked at that year and we had 6 inches on the 24th and 5 inches on the 28th. It looks like somehow my March totals over-wrote my February totals for that year in my Averages spreadsheet? I am manually correcting it now. Thank You!
  19. Also for reference here is a look at what my yearly spreadsheet looks like. This one in particular is from our snowiest year. I have the spreadsheet setup to feed my averages tab which compiles all of the overall stats. My dad is retired and lives right next door so I always have him on the lookout for even the smallest amount of flakes if I am not around so I can keep my stats as accurate as I can. The measurement in red denoted ice/sleet/freezing rain.
  20. Just thought I would throw this in here for reference. I have been tracking snowfall in my backyard since the year 2000 here in Severna Park. Over that period the average snowfall year over year has been about 24.14 inches per year. The crazy thing is that over that 20 year period we have only had 3 seasons that were at or above average. The years where we had "feast" years carried the average for all of the "famine years". The good news is that February is by far our snowiest month so we still have time to get that one storm to make it into a feast year! Praying for some snow!!!
  21. Just got up to let the dog out and it is 35 degrees with moderate snow flurries in Severna Park right now.
