With this cold, I don't get how we are not going to see some icing out of this (a few hours). I understand the high is moving and what not, but what about the ground temperature? Sorry for the weenie-ish post, I just want to be educated on this.

I remember a few back in the 80's ice cold was -6 degrees at dawn. It was a cold sunrise service.
