  1. They started warning down here at 1pm when we were blue skies and 40. Cirrus just starting to creep in now.
  2. Anyone have an idea why Upton has the Winter Storm Warning in effect already for this area? Still blue sky, full sunshine and 40 degrees here. Radar is still showing precip back in PA. I could see a Watch until 6pm or so and then change to Warning.
  3. Sun is out but it's still snowing. 3" total for here.
  4. Very sad that messenger is no longer with us. This combined with the radar give me the feeling that this would the perfect storm for him to diagnose. There'd be arguments for pages of him telling us the storm isn't coming and everyone else talking about delusions of the radar showing northerly movement. I might be wrong, but this definitely feels and looks like it's going to be an under performer. I think she's going wide right.
  5. .75" total. .5" snow changed to sleet by 9pm.
  6. 0.0" snow. A tiny bit of sleet and now freezing rain. Almost .10" of accretion on the cars.
  7. All done now. Not even a quarter of an inch. Some great wind gusts though.
  8. House creaking wind gusts with this first batch of snow before the main line gets to us.
  9. Most years in this decade have been above to well above normal IMBY. Gotta figure we're gonna have a well below normal year eventually. This may be it. 7.3 inches to date (5.25" of that in Nov.) Average for my town is about 32" 2010-11 53.5" 2011-12 21.05" 2012-13 52" 2013-14 57.5" 2014-15 86.65" 2015-16 27.5" 2016-17 50.55" 2017-18 66.95"
  10. Moderate to heavy rain all morning. 2.75" rain so far. Cold enough that it hasn't melted the snow that fell last night. So much for those 40+ degree model predictions. 1" of slush and pools of water everywhere.
  11. Pingers just started. A little over 1 inch of snow.
  12. Time to spin up the annual lawn thread already? (my ground might actually, finally freeze this week)
