  1. Still haven't hit 90 here all summer, highest temp 88.2 back on 7/7. After a record cool (-4.5) June running about normal thru 24th for the month.
  2. Well, that was a dud, 0.04 in the gauge and a few 20 mph gusts. Lets see if what is west can do any better in next hour or so.
  3. Quite hazy/smoky over here in western VA
  4. I can remember much warmer days younger, sorta strange. We USED to cook with a SW wind driving air up thru the valleys, not so much anymore. A low/mid 90's day isn't near as frequent either.
  5. I was just talking to someone a couple days ago about we haven't hit 100 in a good while. Seems it WAS hotter in 'days past'. I haven't hit 100 in over 10 years on my weather stations, the couple of CO-OP's near me last hit 100 back in 2012 and 2010 respectfully. I can remember MANY summers when younger in 70's and 80's where the temp would push or exceed 100... Heck, just looked at Roanoke, they hit 100 once in 2020, then you have to go back to 2012, then it is like every other year going back from there. Edited for the slip, I hit 20 instead of 10 lol.
  6. So the 1.42 inches I got yesterday set a new daily rainfall record, beats 1990's 1.27 inches. Had 4 seperate thunderstorms/showers roll thru in a 10/12 hour period.
  7. Another severe T-storm warning, pouring again, third time today, over an inch in gauge now.
  8. Currently under a severe Tstorm warning for 60 mph and 1/4 hail. It is pouring with a few small (under grape, mostly pea) size hail and strongest wind has been 39 mph about 5 minutes ago. Power has 'blinked' three times in last 10 minutes. .35 in gauge in 10 minutes.
  9. I'd not sure that is a problem lol.
  10. Last two mornings have been delightful, 55 and 57.
  11. OUCH!! Glad you are Ok after that. Congrats on the win!
  12. Yep, there is something about looking out in a direction from a small hill (doesn't have to be much) and seeing forever, especially in storm season.
  13. Happy late Birthday! Hope you hit a jackpot of a storm!!
  14. Looks like a bit of 'pinging' going on
  15. It was warm and humid this morning, now a quick pop up thunderstorm rolling thru, pouring rain. 80.0/71.1
  16. Wishing everyone a happy and safe 4th!!
  17. Awesome and Happy Birthday a bit early!
