  1. Just an awesome 'pinwheel' on the IN/OH border..... https://www.star.nesdis.noaa.gov/GOES/sector_band.php?sat=G16&sector=cgl&band=01&length=12
  2. Shattered the daily rainfall record here, 2.19 in gauge this am. Old mark was 0.77 from 1996. Also, looks like 2020 will slide into 2nd place for total rainfall with 7.04 inches. 2011 holds top spot with 7.12 inches.
  3. On vacation this week. Right now I WAS supposed to be in the air heading to Vegas to meet son and then pick up the rental car and head for Death Valley, Joshua Tree and Sequoia NP's for 10 days...... oh well, maybe next year. A staycation it has became and I'll work on the yard and house.
  4. Watched my resident deer herd roll back thru this morning, grazing on the greens on the forest floor and low trees as they passed. Seven this morning, last night just before dark watched nine do the same heading back up the hill.
  5. So, I consider 50's and 60's spring and fall, with rain and clouds 3 or 4 out of 7 days for the week. It HAS been spring for a long time, since like January. 70's and up are summer, 40's and lower is winter.
  6. pushing 5 inches of rain for the month now.....
  7. You were doing SO good, then you added the last three words......
  8. Yes it would, but that would then defeat their purpose of you needing parts OR a new unit every 3-6 years......
  9. *thrilled to see he has slid under the radar for yet another year!*
  10. I try to never plant things with feelings myself.
  11. In and out of gusty showers since 9 am here, just like a winter pattern with flurries in Jan or Feb. Already had a 44 mph gust at 2:03 pm.
  12. Filled up at 1.24 yesterday!
  13. Just so I understand correctly.......we now snow in months NOT in winter, but don't snow IN winter months.......
  14. Watched the game 6 Chicago/Philly 2010 game today AKA the 'lost puck' series winner game.
  15. Low of 29.0 here, nowhere near a record (22 in 1997), BUT the snow yesterday morning DID set a record as I had never recorded snow on the date, so 0.2 is the new mark lol. Currently 29.6/23.2 with clear skies and a WSW wind of 4 mph.
  16. So just had about a half hour snow shower, enough to measure....that means I had more snow this morning than I had in all of March...... sad. Already melting rapidly since it stopped. Going with the 0.2 I had on the board (yes, I keep it out until 15th, just in case, like this! lol!). 33.2 degrees/ 26.5 DP
  17. More hail here!! Little bigger than other day, but still under 1/2 inch max size.
  18. So you're saying it WAS the area and he isn't a modern day Schleprock?? On the weather, rocking storm thru here between 5:50 and 6:10 this am!!
  19. Well, with the 4th shower/storm of the day here I got to make a hail report to CoCoRaHS, nothing major, 1/4 size, but first hail of the season!
  20. Just had a pretty decent thunderstorm roll thru, especially considering the time of day.....
  21. Hey! Take that Mt Washington!!
