  1. OK, here goes.... BWI: 34.4" DCA: 25.7" IAD: 39.3" RIC: 24.8" Tiebreaker LYH: 33.1" MBY: 47.7" I am bullish that we hit a 3-4 week 'jackpot' in an otherwise cold and mundane winter.
  2. Your ground temps should be in the 50-54 degree range right now. You should be good for a while.
  3. So DCA is gonna sink below sea level over the winter???
  4. RIC sits in a pretty good cooling spot, they can hit a freeze pretty early some years when others around don't.
  5. BWI: 11/13 IAD: 10/16 DCA: 11/13 RIC: 10/26 Tiebreaker: 7.56
  6. We always hooked ours into the soffit under the eaves on the back of the house, near a window so we could watch. About 20 foot off the ground, no problems from animals, but bees LOVED them. They drained one in about 2 hours one day, you couldn't see the container from the mass of bees on it.

  8. What is this 'full sun' you are speaking of? Haven't seen the sun since Friday afternoon here. Still heavy cloud cover at 1:30 pm here, although have made it above freezing at 33.4 degrees. That is first time since Friday.
  9. Just a bit more fell overnight, recorded 0.5 for yesterday and making a 4.9 storm total here. 3.5 is on the ground.
  10. Happened here last night twice! Frustrating to say the least. I think it happened in C'ville also.
  11. Same here. Been lightly snowing last 3 hours here, picked up a new 0.4, so that gets me to just under 5 inches at 4.8 for a storm total. Hey, I'll take it
  12. I guess not, but maybe you could invest in a new ruler for next storm!?! Congrats on breaking into double digits.
  13. Agree! Was figuring they'd throw out a 6.8 or something......
  14. That is what happened out my way, about 4 inches of snow, then about 2am it flipped to sleet that packed it down and about two hours of drizzle/snizzle. Heavy, heavy stuff to shovel. BUT, it is white and pretty! Been snowing lightly past 2 hours, coated everything back over, looks like another 0.3, but I'll measure here in a few.
  15. Only every 6 hours, over 4 measurements in 24 hours is a no-no per NWS.
  16. Love the sparkly crystals showing up! Awesome storm for y'all!
