  1. Very elevation driven. At my house it looks like the aftermath of a major snow event. Just down the hill almost nothing. I'm guessing you are at some elevation over 300'?
  2. Snowing hard in Hillsborough TWP at 460 elev. Temp 32.
  3. Based on all the guidance 4-8" looks spot on for west central NJ. Exactly where the NWS has it.
  4. Great storm here, 7.5" total. What a difference a few miles and elevation makes in these type of events.
  5. Ray, great to hear from you! 4" here now. Pounding snow, as heavy as it can get.
  6. Maybe I'm wrong but I THINK I recall someone with you're handle from way back when around these parts?
  7. Indeed, agree. That being said, at one time there were palm trees around these parts. My view is that climo has gotten better for snow over the time periods used to determine climo for snow around NYC and environs. There were recent posts about this on the board. NW NJ will invariably do better even in this regime, but it's not as one-sided as in the past. I moved to my new locale in 1999 and since then I think places in Monmouth probably have me beat. I do better in the nickle and dime events, but for the all snow coastal, they usually have the highest totals. Enjoy the snow!
  8. Just kidding, but the snow to rain coastals are just not the same as "back in the day." Back then it truly sucked to be by the shore, not nearly so much in more recent years.
  9. In the 70s and 80s for sure, "north and west of the city" burned in my mind. Nowadays that might be Monmouth County, LOL!
  10. first flakes now mixing with the white rain. Temp 36.
  11. 2.75" of NEW snow. You sure you guys are measuring only new snow?
