  1. Isn’t that our new normal with climate change? Less frequency but bigger storms?
  2. A few inches this morning at 1350ft. 10 miles east of Berkeley Springs. Looking east toward Martinsburg\Hagerstown
  3. Light rain here in Alexandria, but snowing 30 miles south of me at my friend’s house in Stafford. [emoji13] [emoji854]
  4. Can I come on the next trip? Expert log splitter here.
  5. Just watched two planes have to do touch and go at DCA. All air traffic looks like it’s rerouting to land from south due to winds shifting. 8 planes circling in DC air space now re-lining up.
  6. Insanely cool. Shows how the mountains disrupts a lot of the cold front and how the cold air filters over.
  7. My brother’s house in Harrisburg PA. Happy for him. Will be at my cabin near Berkeley Springs next week. Hoping the midweek wave turns into something.
  8. I remember the Potomac being frozen over pretty good that January.
  9. I was born on that day and remember my father telling me how cold and snowy it was. Even the following week. He said it was rough driving me home. I miss him. .
  10. 30 degrees. Graupel coming down. 1400 feet looking east. WV/MD/PA border. .
  11. From Mike Thomas: Updated analogs... [emoji3504]Pack patience on big pattern shifts. Models often too quick with it. Eyes still on mid/late DEC. [emoji3504]Dec 2009 is now low on the 6-10 day analogs. Not thinking big winter weather for DC next 10 days. [emoji3504] 11-15 day more interesting with 2009 top match. For now. [emoji3591] Keep in mine only a FEW analogs in either period have big impact December overall. Although on that same note, only ONE of them has NO winter weather at all. Would be surprised if we get through this pattern without anything at all, but that doesn’t mean what we do get will end up being a blockbuster. Hope that makes sense!
  12. Fantastic breakdown and analysis by Mike Thomas. http:// https://fb.watch/h7K-C3eZd4/ .
  13. Saying goodbye to Doreen. [emoji3590]
  14. Happy. 68 degrees. Temp dropped to 31 outside. Fast change to sleet.
  15. LT Snow beginning. 32 degrees. .
  16. So glad you enjoyed it. This town really is a fun place within 2 hours of DC. We back up to 23000 acres of a wildlife area. Nice and quiet. And no urban heat island [emoji23]
