  1. Warm air pushing north apparently rose high enough over the cold layer to gove me enough room for precip to refreeze before landing. Next step is rain, of course. I suspected this would happen since Westminster was a bust and the rain ob out of Waynesboro.
  2. Heaviest stuff has stopped. Cor/Coefficient radar shows sleet has breached the PA line. Starting to "hear" the snow on my windows.. .you know what that means! The heavy stuff eas from a warm air surge that has obviously warmed me. We'll see how long until I switch to non-accumulating mix. Should be soon unfortunately.
  3. It's starting to cut totals down south because of what has already fallen.
  4. Yes! And I experienced 3+"/hr during the Megalopolis blizzard of 2/83.
  5. Honestly, some of the heaviest snow I've seen. You guys up north buckle up.
  6. Under that northern tip of the yellow band due north of DC. Heavy https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/?parms=LWX-N0B-1-24-100-usa-rad
  7. Models busting bad in Westminster, MD. Sleet there and many models show 3-4".
  8. Yep. If modeling is right, I win until 3 or 4.
  9. Uh boy. Here it comes, hence the heavy snow. Can I beat it. https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/?parms=LWX-N0C-1-24-100-usa-rad
  10. Moderate or better here. I'm hugging the 2 Nams and betting heavy on the contrarian trade. Hope I don't lose my shirt.
  11. For the soithern crew, MD has a lot of cams near the PA border if you're interested. https://chart.maryland.gov/InteractiveMap/GetInteractiveMap
  12. That reminds me of that old Saturday Night live skit where they were shooting the skiers as they came down the slop because Claudine Longet had accidentally shot and killed her boyfriend, ski champion Vladimir "Spider" Sabich.
  13. I guess our definitions of panicking are different.
  14. Ummm, who's panicking? I'm just trying to share info.
  15. It shows up on that Correlation Coefficient radar I just mentioned in a post above. Hopefully it's temporary, or we're all out of luck south of Harrisburg.
  16. Great radar site from a Maryland centric point of view. The bottom radar, Correlation Coefficient, will tell you where the sleet and rain line is located in real time. It's cool to watch the brighter returns, sleet and rain, dissipate as they head north into the colder air...until they get over your house, of course. https://www.marylandwx.com/radar-data/
  17. All snow atop Pigeon hills now. Was sleet.
  18. 13z HRRR held from its 12z run with maybe minor changes not worth discussing I believe.
