Crocus and Snowdrops bloom in late March around here, daffodils early April. Buds usually don't appear much before then. We just melted away limited snowcover over the weekend. Currently it's 100% brown.

And I consider late Winter to be late February into March. Not January 15th.

My sister in law says that Montreal had heavy rain yesterday morning and it transitioned to freezing rain in the afternoon and snow this morning. Nothing like 1998.
