  1. I was supposed to be in Montreal for the eclipse. Unfortunately my sister in law had other obligations.
  2. The owls hooting at 3:30 in Enfield was interesting. 2:12pm 3:27pm
  3. Unfortunately cloudy at peak. But it's fairly dark. The owls are hooting.
  4. Enfield at 2pm. Shows about to start. Damn that sun is strong. I can see why the snow-cover is melting.
  5. A bit over one hour out from the start in Enfield. Just some cirrus.
  6. Moosehead lake looks cool.in that satellite photo. Frozen and snowcovered.
  7. I didn't go based on the cloud forecast. Here in Connecticut, it's sunny right now with some high cirrus clouds. A more substantial cloud deck is visible to the West. Hopefully we get to see the eclipse in Connecticut.
  8. I hope you wore protective eyewear setting up that platter.
  9. I'm considering staying home. I'm handicapped and not the best at driving in traffic. It's sounds like N New England is one of the few places that might have somewhat clear skies. So it's bound to be crowded.
  10. The latest forecast I saw. Has only extreme Northern New Hampshire, Norteastern Vermont and Maine being clear for the eclipse.
  11. Light snow continues here and 35F. It's melting now with the high sun angle. Kinda surprised it snowed at all here in the valley.
  12. I'm considering driving to Plattsburgh on Monday morning. There in the centerline and right now have a 17% chance for cloud cover. I just hope it's not crazy crowded driving up. It's about 4 hrs from my house.
  13. Light snow continues here and 33F. Just accumulating on colder surfaces. Kinda surprised it snowed at all here in the valley.
  14. 34F with light snow and a slight coating on the grass.
  15. Sugarloaf looks to be cashing in on this storm. I saw a forecast calling for 12-18". That should set them up for a Regaee week with lot's of snow cover.
  16. Any chance to see March snowfall in Enfield? I'll stay up late to see it snow.
  17. I'm looking at the Sugarloaf webcams. And all the upper mountain lifts are closed. The flags on the beach are whipping in the wind.
  18. I got vertigo skiing at Mt Batchelor years ago. Skiing from the summit and no trees to give the snow much definition.
  19. https://liftblog.com/2024/03/21/ski-sundown-to-build-first-skytrac-in-connecticut/ Ski Sundown is replacing the Exhibition Triple Chair with a Skytrak Quad with a conveyor loading area.
  20. No apples at all last Fall where I live. The May 17th frost/freeze did severe damage. Some parts of Connecticut dipped into the 20's for several hours.
  21. I'm a bit late with posting this. But I took my final adaptive skiing lesson on Sunday 2/25. At Ski Sundown. It was a beautiful bluebird day with temperatures in the middle 30's. I skied there 4 times this season. 1/31, 2/5, 2/15 and 2/25. It was lot's of fun, with freindly instructors. I had one more lesson booked for 3/6. But it looks like they might not make it that late, with rain and 60F temperatures in the forecast. Gunbarel trail: Stinger trail:
