  1. I'd rather not have a week of rain with some snow mixed in.
  2. Supposed to be 48. Sure it's warm. I was hoping for a sunny day. Normal high here is 37F.
  3. Doubt it gets sunny and warm here. Running out of day for that. 40F and solid overcast still.
  4. Warm front phail here, stuck in solid overcast and 40F. I was hoping for a sunny day to go skiing, oh well.
  5. https://www.sunjournal.com/2020/01/31/investment-firm-completes-saddleback-mountain-purchase/
  6. Free ski day tomorrow at Magic Mountain. I'm posting it here to not get unnoticed in the skiing forum. It will probably be a zoo without the animals.
  7. And it's unfortunately hereditary. My grandmother had it, my mom had it and my sister has it. By some unfortunate luck of the draw, I have it.
  8. I actually have PLS which is very rare. The incidence is 1 in 100,000. It affects my walking and respiratory system. I just say MS because nobody knows what PLS is.
  9. I was that way before my sicknesses. Don't really enjoy ice/snow at home anymore. That's why not much snow around here and cold enough for snowmaking is fine with me. To each his own I guess.
  10. You need a long lasting overrunning setup. 1998 was that way.
  11. I have MS and my dad's 85 years old. Why would I want ice. To break limbs?
  12. Seems like Dr Troll doesn't either.
  13. So how you deal with snow and cold?
  14. Looks like a line of heavy snow with the warm front in Pennsylvania. It's 42F here, so it might be rain.
  15. No complaints about this Winter so far, could have avoided the 70F weather a few weeks ago, but I'm not invested in local snowcover. Snowmaking is keeping the local ski season in top shape, comfortable skiing temperatures and firm snow. More snow up North for the snowmobiling folks would be beneficial. Last year's gradient was fine with me, 40" of snow here and 3-4 times that up North.
  16. I skied there in March of 1999, when they still had summit access. This was before the chairlift accident.
  17. Or just cancel all Winter weather completely.
  18. He's just a miserable troll trying to cancel Winter since late November. Some of the best skiing I've ever done has been in March. The most snowfall I've ever seen in one month was in April. The snow sports season here in New England lasts from late October to June.
  19. Steady light snow now with some larger flakes.
  20. Nothing more than a few flurries here.
