  1. I'll probably lose the rest of the snow remaining in my driveway tonight and tomorrow. Tonight looks wild with heavy rain and thunderstorms, perfect for January.
  2. I'd rather have +30 in July/August when I could swim, kayak, or go to the beach. Can't do that right now.
  3. It ruins the skiing conditions that I can manage during the heart of the cold season, I'll pass.
  4. Wow, nice reply. What exactly can I do with this warm weather?
  5. How many days do you ski per year? And people getting injured is a laughing matter to you?
  6. Frequent damaging wind gusts to 10 mph. Lights flickering.
  7. COC day here today, solid overcast and 53F.
  8. I'll be enjoying the cold tomorrow skiing with my son.
  9. What about it. 60's can wait until April.
  10. The high of 30F tommorow will feel awesome.
  11. Absolute blizzard here, heavy snow and high winds.
  12. Very dark skies here and quite windy, almost like a Summer thunderstorm is nearby.
  13. Radar shows snow showers around here, but it's just overcast. 33F.
  14. Definitely winding down in Colorado sometime in June.
  15. Not a single one, guaranteed. The ski area's around here survive on snowmaking, so deep snow is made whenever possible. Man-made snow can also be made dense and water/warmth resistant. I'll be at Sundown on Thursday for the first time this season. Usually they cover all runs with very deep snow. The only place in Connecticut that might not do so well is Powder Ridge, it's very far South and not strong on Snowmaking.
  16. I skied in Summer ski camp in Europe in July of 1985. I skied at Stubai, Austria, Zermatt, Switzerland, Tignes, France and ValSenales, Italy. Currently the only area still offering skiing all Summer is Zermatt. The other areas don't have enough snow cover remaining on their glacier's past August 1st to allow for skiing all Summer. Global warming might be increasing the precipitation, but Summer snow levels are higher, with rain falling on glacial ice.
  17. You're latest avatar is stupid. Keep us informed on how many ski areas close from the thaw.
  18. The streets around here still have snow from December.
