  1. Partial sunshine here and 67F. Cooler air looks a bit off, 70F wouldn't surprise me.
  2. Pretty busy at Stratton, a bit thin at the base, but upper trails have full cover.
  3. Lots of resort snowmaking this week for MLK weekend. Back to PP conditions this weekend. Snowmaking around here next weekend.
  4. Heavy rain has arrived here in Havana, currently a nice tropical 64F.
  5. I'm going to message my sister in law in Montreal later today. I think they got freezing rain for a while.
  6. Sugarloaf is getting heavy sleet with freezing rain above Spillway X-Cut.
  7. Webcam shows Ski Sundown came through the thaw just fine, not a bare spot on any opened run. Currently 61F there.
  8. Sugarloaf didn't lose any snow, heavy sleet there currently. 77 trails opened.
  9. That area of the Rockies had 150 glacier's in 1850 and now has 25. I agree that some of the remaining ones will last quite a while longer. As someone who Summer skied on several glacier's in Europe in the 1980's, I can say most are in very bad shape. So I have first hand experience on how things have changed in 35 year's.
  10. BDL was down to 44F this morning, so +27 above normal, but not 45.
  11. It depends on location, elevation and exposure. Most of the glacier's are retreating. Grinnell is melting fast. Salamander and Gem glacier are stable.
  12. Not cooling much down with an overnight low of 60. Turn the heat off?
  13. Yeah I love how my room is 75F,. sleeping tonight should be nice and comfortable.
  14. I'm guessing 70's tomorrow with full Sunshine.
  15. I feel sad taking off my skis, freedom lost. I dislocated my shoulder skiing at Mount Snow in April of 2017, so I'm cautious about the terrain I ski.
  16. I can still walk, but it's with a cane and at a slow pace.
  17. I can still walk, but it's with a cane and at a very slow pace. With skis on I feel free as a bird.
  18. I had two saints and walking them became more difficult with my PLS disease. Powerful dogs that walk you.
  19. Even better with high dew points.
  20. And how much snow did you get so far this season?
  21. I want to try Sundown early on Monday morning with my son. It might be too soft for me. Looks like cold and firm skiing return next weekend.
  22. I ski 18-24 days a year. I can't walk, so skiing gives me a sense of freedom with movement. I can only ski frozen groomer. Last year was 18 days, aiming for 21 this season.
