we had the blizzard dec 26 2010 and then another big snowstorm in jan 2011.. in nyc and other areas and then winter was over after that...

i prefer a sleet or ice storm followed by bitter cold more snow then more cold so that the ice will stay on the ground for maybe for weeks..

winter storm warning should have been put out by the nws for nyc last night we fell into that criteria when all is said and done.. -
climate change ice cover is much less now then it was in the mid 1980;s..as sherlock holmes would say it is quite elementary...

well central park had no snow and even without snow with this air mass would have been in the single digits 25 years ago..
