Temperature here went from a low of 15 to 35 by the time the snow started. Now that it is snowing at a good clip the temperature has dropped to 32

Just curious how people measure snowfall in a storm where the snow was blowing all over.

Nassau County in one of the heavier bands for a while now, missed a lot of them during the night.

Yes those larger flakes definitely accumulate faster.

I am beginning to think that these bands don't necessarily have much heavier snow but rather larger snowflakes. I had very small snowflakes most of the night and now there bigger and the radar picks that up.

I would say about 15 inches here. Was not in the heavy bands as much as areas to my west and east.

Looks like about 3 inches, 31 degrees not to much wind yet peak gust low 20s. Looks like a very heavy band from the ocean ready to move across Nassau County

Below freezing ,snowing at a good clip roads everything covered. Wind picking up.
