    Glad I took a 330pm “lunch break” while it was still sunny out. Almost a summer-like demarcation of clouds and sun on satellite. Nice little cloud deck has rolled in to finish off the day.

    The Catoctin Cloud Magnet (CCM) has been a force this morning...and very visible on satellite. Looks like some thinning in progress, though. Hoping to get another round of sun today before the line of showers and stuff arrives after sunset.

    Clouds like to hang around the Catoctin's on the tail end of systems as residual energy moves through, regardless of whether it's a dry front or not.

    I want a refund on today's sunny forecast. Sunny to me means at least 80% sunshine, not 40% (and that's being generous). Probably more so a Frederick thing than for areas to the east.

    More than sprinkles rn though it’s a pretty isolated batch. Feels and looks like Fall out there.

    The weather has been a miracle in Frederick so far today. Got a couple of hoops sessions in and some errands done in between. Much more sun than anticipated, though clouds seem to have increased a bit. Looks like this will be a pretty lame event out here with basically a NS kicker incoming...though the beaches will have fun.

    In a spiritual kinda way, I feel like hurricanes are acting proportional to how our pattern has been the last few years...downsloping, nw flow, ots...not all the time, but that seems like the base state, even more so than usual. We're due for a nor'easter pattern.

    lol, literally taking a class rn on deep learning and neural nets (one more paper left on GANs). There’s a lot of free code out there to use. MNIST has been my dataset of choice…aka the “hello world” of neural networks. It’s fascinating stuff, but very computationally expensive. I have no idea what AIFS uses, but I imagine it’s not trivial.
