  1. Beautiful vort pass depicted on the nam. Just hope it’s right.
  2. Did the GFS just call Euro's bluff? Guess we'll find out soon.
  3. This storm is making us closer to the M/D line really work for this one.
  4. Interesting seeing how far behind the initial waa the ull is. Definitely could see how that would make this either one long event or a two parter.
  5. Worth noting that it’s slick out there. Was out earlier and noticed a few icy spots.
  6. Stepped outside to mess with my sky view app and noticed yet another band moving thru. This one is having no issues sticking to pavement. Very wintry feel out there rn
  7. Yea got cored here. That was a squall.
  8. This final band is outrageous. Basically a mini blizzard...windswept mod/heavy.
  9. This is turning into a DMV special.
  10. Here, yes...no question. I was actually driving back from the store. If it had lasted another 15 minutes, roads were gonna get slick.
  11. Last band was much more squall'y up here, though only about 15 minutes of peak. Whitened up the ground, though, and was starting to accumulate on roads/sidewalks.
  12. Legitimate snow squalls are fun. You pretty much know it when it happens...and they don't happen often around here. They're like a winter t-storm.
  13. Ended up being a standard snow shower here. Hardly any accumulation.
  14. I still don't like oysters.
  15. Basically a steady snow right now. Might need to step outside and investigate.
  16. Yea, it's subjective. Every now and then I try to drink scotch, but I just can't get past the smoke/peat. Maybe one day. Oysters...yea, I don't think I'm gonna grow into them at this point lol.
  17. I literally gag when trying to eat oysters. Eating them is a miserable experience. I did somehow manage an oyster shot at Mama's on the Half Shell in Canton, though.
  18. Oysters are awful (the seafood version of scotch). Mussels are where it's at.
  19. Light snow here and looks pretty wintry on top of Gambrill State Park (which I just confirmed is exactly the part of the Catoctin's I see when looking west).
  20. This is usually when the last minute north ticks start. We have 48 hrs to make up ground.
  21. He responded to you in banter.
  22. I work with a former operational met in the aviation industry and his thoughts (right before me seeing the pbp here) are that we're dealing with a southern/colder euro vs northern/warmer gfs, but seems to lean towards a colder (given the time of year), more north solution (given that it's a west to east system, so it could lift further north than depicted). He reiterated it'll come down to the direction of the 850mb temp advection. If we were in the office, I'd try to get more details lol. And just looked at the latest GFS. I sign.
  23. I see we had the ol' "fake rug pull from Euro" again. It'll nudge back north by 0z and GFS will nudge south. I've seen too many of these shows by now. How do you like that for sound science?
  24. Yea, that and EH Taylor are up there for me. I’ve only tried the single barrel, but that gold label sounds legit. Visiting Buffalo trace distillery is on my bucket list…they seem to know what they’re doing lol.
