I’ve decided to start making lemonade…biked over at Little Bennett today. Damp with a few puddles, but otherwise rideable. This weather is getting played out, but Mother Nature is gonna continue to do what she wants. Looks like drier weather by midweek.
True...I think they were also a cause of many forecast busts back in the day. However, they're also a product of a jet stream that dips far enough south in the winter to bring sustained cold, something that's been lacking for several years now.
There’s a legit swarm of them outside of where I work in Columbia. I’ve seen them on my balcony in Frederick, too. It is what it is. I read an article recently that implied they’re overhyped and that they’ve become meals for other animals such as birds, etc.
Ended up hiking a trail at the ‘shed this morning…light rain most of the time even though it wasn’t showing up much on radar. Trail was definitely damp/soggy. Partly sunny here now…I’ll take it before the next round of clouds and ULL swings thru.
The clearing is taking its sweet time coming north, that’s for sure. The overall pattern has been kinda weird for 2 years now with a not so ideal cloud to precip ratio. Overall, it seems like the storm tracks are still too far north with a lack of clippers being the primary hint.
Pleasant here. I’m assuming about a 5mph wind. Was hoping for some quality remnants, but it jogged too far west. I do see some showers to the south, so maybe those will mix some breeze down.
I’m craving sun, but aside from that, this is arguably perfect basketball weather…which I will be indulging in shortly to try to cancel out some of the work potluck today.
Looks like ~1.0” fell in my vicinity overnight. I think it’s time for the sun to make an appearance, though it sure looks like it might be cloudy through early next week.
Pretty wild to have several days of persistent light rain/soggy conditions like this. We're fully capable of several days in a row of clouds, but this is a straight up marine airmass.
Daniels was impressive…strong arm, seems accurate, and mobile (at least north/south), but he’s also built like rg3…though at least he knows how to slide. It’ll be interesting to see how he handles blitzes from the more stout defenses.
Been getting light rain here all morning so far, but it seems to breaking up further east. The tropical system has potential, assuming it doesn’t get squashed…though the latter seems more likely for now. Tbd
