Yep thats what I was thinking. This is very impressive for May. We are down to 35 degrees already for the night.

Yes above 4500 feet currently it is snowing or mixing. Im sitting at 41 degrees with the wind really picking up.

Look out for some convective snow and ice showers coming in this afternoon from Tennessee.

Temps have dropped like a rock here. 10 degree drop in 1 hour. Down to 44 degrees with heavy showers.

GFS and NAM still honking some snow for tonight in the high elevations. Looking very cold this weekend with frost or freeze.

Yep you are right. Pretty rare for them down there but you can thank the blocking for this weather this far east.

Yeah they have been hit hard since Easter seems like almost weekly.

Yep looks like some late season snow for sure. I cannot wait especially here in May. This is extremely rare.

Some heavy rainfall and storms moving through tonight. I thought we were getting dry....

Also the GFS and the NAM have some high elevation snow for the 6th. Something to also keep an eye on for the immediate future.

Man I have to tell you I love a good storm. I made 5 raised beds last week and we are ready to plant but this late season cold push has put a damper on gardening. This weekend could be a hard freeze also. Crazy for early to mid May.

Looks like our chance for storms really increase tomorrow with a chance of severe weather. Also a frost/freeze looks to be in the cards this weekend.

You can already tell the line is weakening rapidly.

Maybe some sprites if you can keep a view above the clouds. Satellite not looking particularly optimistic though with the overcast expanding rapidly east. Yeah GSP just mentioned this line coming through saying it should weaken by the time it gets into the mountains. I agree the way its coming in I think the mountains will chew it up pretty rapidly other than just some rumbles and some heavy rainfall...

Yeah the 12z EURO has cooled a lot compared to previous runs. Could be a start to a big cold trend...

This pattern has been so below average and such a consistent trough for this spring it has been crazy.

Yeah not that cold sitting at 45 but on and off showers. Beautiful April weather.

Yeah I was thinking of the same storm. Crazy how that happened. Even snowing in the valley.

Yeah January and February really helped up the totals and it has been steady ever since.

Yep I have been seeing that. For early May that would be extremely impressive and extremely rare.

Yeah that is impressive. I will have to look at my numbers but im not that high. It seems like every rain event we get an inch or more in one storm...

Yeah the SW mountains im sure have been hit hard with rainfall this season and it just continues. I heard some calling for hot and dry conditions going into March and it has been anything but that.
