    I may have spoken too soon about 0 degree temps. The blocking is so strong and the ridge going up in the west the tpv is roling over and rotating back down....

    Yep I agree. Really the hell with 0 degree temps. Give me 20 degrees and 6 plus inches of snow.

    Region wide snowfall for a lot of the viewing area!

    This run is much better for us. Instead of getting the whole tpv coming down on us we get a piece that breaks off and rotates down and at hour 186 and looks to have some energy with it.

    Yeah saw that. Little things like that will pop up out of nowhere at the last minute with this pattern change

    Overnight euro is wild. We get heavy synoptic snow to heavy upslope snow with temps dropping near zero and windy asf.... Some places are showing over a foot of snow and this has ENS support....

    The gfs ens agrees with the op suite. Also don't be disappointed because we don't see some chances for snowfall yet. The big caveats are still in play with this anomalous pattern. Again patience and just keeping an eye on things.

    Yeah there would definitely be legit below zero temps especially if we have some snow on the ground.

    Op gfs and the gefs looks good. I really like the general look of things in the upcoming pattern. Just be steady and patient.

    Looks like the ensembles are leading the way again today. The op models are all over the place.

    Already down to 34 degrees for the evening. We warmed to 46 today but dropped back quickly this evening.

    Man the mountains in California have been getting hammered especially around Lake Tahoe.

    Yep saw that also. That is something we rarely see in winter. It's very impressive for sure.

    Good Lord we've not seen temps this cold in several years in the region here. Personally I could do without that.
