  1. Anyone know what time the CVS starts?
  2. Only the Nam has that much. Must be banking on a last minute north trend.
  3. At least it's so bad it's entertaining.
  4. There's gonna be a lot of dry air in central VA east of the mountains which is why I wouldn't be as enthusitic for that area.
  5. Still 75 miles south of last nights 00z run, which I hated.
  6. Gotta love how the nam has the low further south and the precip shield further north compared to 12z. This model really knows how to overdo precip on the norwest side of storms.
  7. Well true, this is one of the worst se trends I can remember at this range. The last 60hrs has just been unabated slide to the se.
  8. Yeah that always seemed a bit much. The trend was not his friend.
  9. Congrats Lake Ontario snowband.
  10. The gfs and the AI Euro did the best with this. Both took a lot of trash talk from forum members.
  11. Oh yeah, I'm deducting an entire letter from this winters final grade over it.
  12. Well that does it, time for the fat lady to stick a fork in the towel. Goodnight.
  13. UKMET does this hiccup before every storm. Of course we're getting screwed, but not by that far.
  14. UKMET looks the flattest yet.
  15. Cmc is a total miss north of the Potomac.
  16. It's digging a little further west so maybe a break even.
  17. Gfs already stronger with the confluence
  18. Either way its gonna put us out of our misery.
  19. Even DT negged the Nam this time and usually je saves all his smite for the GFS.
  20. It better cause we don't have the CRAS anymore.
  21. Another similar setup that failed to produce was 3/24/06. You can see we had a closed 500mb low in the perfect spot but the confluence was too strong. Don't remember any snow from that setup. Maybe a couple inches in nc/va? https://www.meteo.psu.edu/ewall/NARR/2006/us0324.php
  22. Were like 1 or 2 se ticks away from a towel run.
  23. Nam has a surface low over LA at 60hrs 300 miles north of any other model. Nam just makes up its own rules, especially after 48hrs.
  24. Exactly, too many posts in this forum overcomplicate things. More downstream ridging= Further north track Less downstream ridging= Further south track. Ot works out at least 95% of the time unless you're looking at the Nam. Edit: whoops meant downstream not upstream.
  25. Yes but it's too early and prevents the southern stream from developing. You want lower heights over MO/AR and higher heights over WV/PA to force a slower more northerly track.
