I know. I texted you the exact same thoughts a few days ago. You must have not seen it. It's unbelievable! Even in bad winters we get 10 inches alone from nickel and dime events. 2011/2012, 2012/2013 are a couple examples with plenty small events. I do believe we get 1 or 2 more moderate events but the lack of more frequent lighter snows will probably be the deciding factor in getting to average.

We had some very light snow around midnight. The slightest of dustings on the car this morning.

Finally broke freezing. 10 days and 18 hours.

Friday has a better chance but thats not saying much.

I remember that morning well. Heavy rain overnight changed over to windswept heavy wet snow. NW suburbs an inch or 2. Far NW suburbs probably got 3-6. I've heard people say Catoctin's got upwards of 10.

All that matters is that the Euro comes back to what it had Sunday. Just need it to keep steadily improving each run.

Wasn't aimed at you lol. For crying out loud all these repetitive morons with the same bs posts over and over again. Sure, it looks bleak but this is what we do. As far as I'm concerned, knowing full well things are not trending well at the moment, that there is still an eternity left before this is completely dead. You can't talk in absolutes in anything especially meteorology when you"re still 4 days out.

I think 5 inches got up to BWI in 1980. I believe the storm was on a Sunday when Maryland lost in ACC Tournament Championship game to Duke.

Haven't measured. Maybe 3.5 or so. Moderate snow and almost heavy now but picking up in intensity now. Tiny flakes and low visibility. Piling up though. Temp has been hovering around 10.
