There are several new bills currently being proposed in Congress for phase 4 that would put more money directly in our hands. Since they have little chance getting through as currently devised there's no point in going into detail however any form of them would require anywhere between 2 and 6 trillion maybe even more if you can believe it. I guess a modified version could make it through. The problem this time will be the partisanship. The other phases got through will a little teeth pulling but for the most part there was bipartisanship Phase 4 will not go anything like that and will be an all out war between the 2 parties.

I see we have another "very stable genius" on our hands.

That call and the Jeffrey Maier incident changed the course of history. 2 separate dynasties was the result. We'll never know what could've been if either of those plays were reversed.

Usually these interviews last 5 minutes or so. This one went on forever. Producers must have been in Anderson's ear to keep her going as long as possible.
-
I watched the entire interview. It was hard to watch as the mayor kept digging herself deeper into a hole. Simply unbelievable. Just remarkable how some people get elected into office.

Once again you know very well that other voices do weigh and are heavily considered and who said anything about a lock down until December or zero deaths. I never heard Fauci day anything like that.
-
Of course his voice should carry more weight than others . Somebody's has too. There is a reason why he is the director of infectious diseases and leading authority. Most other officials except his lead anyway and are fine with him as the front man. I have not heard anybody in his field unsupportive of his lead. At this point you're just arguing for the sake of arguing. You understand darn well why his voice carry more weight.

People like Fauci have no political agenda. His entire life and career is science and data based. His only objective is to save lives and protect the public. When a certain establishment hears information or facts they dont want to hear than they resort to attack methods. If you're ever unsure what to believe when watching or listening to the media all you have to do to know what the real truth is to listen to the doctors, nurses and health officials on the front line.

Don't forget we also took a flyer on an aging Vlad Guerrero. We also brought back a roided up David Segui and payed him good money for a 3 or 4 year deal only to see him hurt every other day and never play much.
-
No doubt. When the top health officials say highly contagious and Dr. Fauci says this virus is "unprecedented" that is all you need to know. Those were his exact words. There is no way to spin Fauci's words which in any logical human being should end the debate.

He was an excellent player even without the steroids. Injury prone but a real solid 5 tool guy.

Of course it would. Over 20k has come in just the last week.

Yup, that's the one. My mom would give me a couple bucks while she went to the library. It stayed open til around the late 80's early 90's but the early 80's were its heyday. I probably went in there from like 79 to 86-87.

Hell yeah. I used to hang at the arcade at garrison Forrest and the patients were always coming around. No doubt a very depressing institution for even back in those days. Actually scary.

There were a lot of really good players from reisterstown. I cant remember the guy who ran that team. He died some years back. They had the 15/16 league like you played in and at one time had 17/18 team. Back in the day it was a priviledge to play under the light at Hannah Moore. You're a couple years younger than me so you may not know some of the guys I played with since they were a little older than me.

Johnny Cake was a middle school in Woodlawn . It hosted the Edrico Tournament for many years. I played on the Owing Mills travel team and we played in that tournament every year. Tough tournament too. We were part of the Northwest area colt league for ages 15-17. We had a solid team and I played with a lot of good players from Franklin. When I was 18 I played for Pikesville in the Baltimore Metro league. Another great league with real tough teams. Played against the yankee rebels, Essex bedouins, putty hill and liberty road squads. No weak players. Pretty much every team was filled with local all stars. Johnny's also maybe called Leoni's was a very good team in Baltimore . Always had great players on that team. They used wooden bats when everyone else didnt.

Yes I remember as well.

Well said. I have to bite my tongue not to get involved in the conversation. I just cant believe what I'm reading and how some people have absolutely no empathy and compassion for others. There's just no way to keep politics out of this and that's why I've refrained from responding to some of these absurd posts.

I'm pretty sure there was also a very late season snowfall in April 1993. I'm usually good at remembering details but for some reason that one is vague. I think it was after the 10th and maybe closer to the 20th. I was attending Western Maryland College at the time and recall it snowing quite heavily at times until noon. The most on the ground at any time was maybe 2 inches.

PDIII hasn't been the same since he had the 102 fever and went to the food bar and got hot wings.

Good points. They should put an immediate freeze or suspension on mortgages and rents. Upwards of 90 days. Then the individual checks will carry more weight. Since the banks can borrow as much money as they want with either very low interest or none at all they will easily survive.

I worked for the pikesville and Owings mills rec council in the late 80's until the early 90's. Enjoyed it very much.

A little rain/snow mix from time to time.

As usual we have another Turgeon team limping into the tourney and fading down the stretch. I don't think he is as bad of a coach as a lot of people do but he certainly is no motivator like Gary. He played under Larry Brown and has had success at all his stops. He knows the game but as of this point in his career his teams no matter how talented have a ceiling. Don't forget Gary struggled to get his teams past the sweet 16 for many years. It was Gary's 12th season at Maryland and his 20 something year as a head coach before he made it to the final 4. I've never been impressed with Turgeon's assistant coaches. Gary had Billy Hahn, Dave Dickerson and Jimmy Patsos. All three were head coaches at division 1 programs and they were with Gary for years. It was no coincidence that Gary's teams began to struggle when that coaching staff broke up. I can't put the consistently slow starts on Turgeon alone. That's on the players too. If you cant get up for conference games in the ACC or Big 10 then something is wrong. You shouldn't need your coach to get you ready or motivated every night. Turgeons teams teams take forever to get into their offensive sets and it always seems like the shot clock is running out and they either force a long 3 or dont even get a shot off. Turgeon often comes off whiny and sounds weak in his interviews and press conferences. His players as of late are showing that mentality on the floor as of late. Too many technicals and loss of composer the last 3 or 4 games. Cowan ends up on the floor after a lot of his drives to the basket and doesn't draw the foul anymore . The refs know his move now so unless he gets mauled they swallow the whistle. Everytime Morsel or Sticks gets a foul called on them they throw their hands up in the air in disbelief and cry to the refs. Sticks got a technical called on him in Minnesota because of this. The shooting is atrocious and Ayala has regressed significantly on offense. They're kack of depth also has caught up to them. With that being said they have some really good players and the team is capable of playing solid defense. They have improved greatly in the turnover department. I really like how Morsel has developed. Scott and Wiggins can be a good enough supporting cast and both have an upside not yet achieved. Ayala has to start playing better. I see bad basketball masked by good shooting every night in college and the pros. There are so many bad long distance 3's put up in almost every game now the reason teams get away with it is probably because the opposing team take just as many that the bad shots equal out. There is so much luck in college basketball and the 3 point shot often is the difference in the modern game. The Terps have enough to make a sweet 16 run. There's a case to be made for a final 8 run but they have to get some confidence back. They did win 9 straight games against tough competition. Even if they beat Michigan on Sunday they're most likely going to get a tough 1st round game in the big 10 tournament. If they lose that first game they'll probably slip to a 4 seed and then getting past the first weekend becomes very difficult. Boy did this get long winded. lol.
