  1. Yup. That's exactly how I remember that storm. It was unreal.
  2. Maybe the next house you buy could be in Siberia so you can get as far away as possible from Maryland.
  3. This is the rare event where I could really use PSU's extra 140 ft. of elevation that sits literally 1/8 mile from my backyard. Lol.
  4. I agree. We definitely could be trying to fight off some mixing during the middle of the storm.
  5. PD 2 mixed and in fact was a complete switch to sleet where I lived at the time in Reisterstown. I mixed in 96 too but only briefly before the deform band.
  6. Glad to hear about the roof. I still have the same crew. There were 3 pool rooms within a mile of your house. The place your thinking of with RR was called Benny's located a block south of Slade Avenue where the McDonald's is. I haven't been there in years but as of couple years ago it was still open but was way different from how it was back in the day. The other 2 were Greenie's located at the corner of Old Court and Reisterstown rd. which closed over 15 years and the Player's Club located next to the post off on McHenry Ln. which closed in 2008 after the owner was murdered. We definitely have to get together when all this madness ends. That would be enjoyable. I would like to have some people over as well. PSU as you know lives right behind me and Dave was here about a year ago for a little electrical work. Hopefully the vaccine will allow some get togethers in some form by summer. I actually started playing a little again in the spring of 2019 but that only lasted a couple months and I haven't played since. I can't seem to get the right prescription for my eyes and these darn progressive lenses with the built in bifocals are a deterrent from playing. My daughter took a short video of me playing I think in May 2019 that's shows I still got it . If I can find it I'll text it to you.
  7. Heaviest I've ever seen it snow over a long sustained period.
  8. My 77 year old Jewish father is less neurotic than PSU. Lol
  9. I get it. It's tough too ignore the fail scenarios.
  10. It's kinda crazy but we got a real shot. Im cautiously optimistic despite the marginal surface temps because both the NAM and Euro are showing heavy rates. Rates overcome so many set up flaws. If we get a heavy slug of moisture well be S+ and temp will go right to 32-33.Me and you could be under a winter storm watch by this time tomorrow. Maybe I'm getting a bit carried away.
  11. You think Philly knows nothing about pizza then you never want to get Pizza around here. Horrible, but I'm a pizza snob too and probably way too critical. Even the non franchise places suck. Most people around here think the pizza is great. I don't even bother debating them. There's a couple places in Westminster that are decent and a couple places here in Hampstead/Manchester that are passable at best.
  12. I got so wrapped up looking at the Wednesday storm that I didnt even realize the Euro give us .85 of liquid on Monday. We got a real shot and a few inches. That's crazy.
  13. You are the eternal optimist. Which there is nothing wrong with.
  14. If this storm is a hit then about 80 percent of the entries in the snowfall contest will be eliminated before the winter solstice. Lol.
  15. Gets our temps down to 18-20 Wednesday morning before precip. moves in.
  16. All good points. We'll see how they look against Buffalo. Should be an interesting game. Chiefs kind of have to beat themselves although as good as they look they too have has some close calls. Number 1 seed is much more important to the Steelers than the Chiefs.
  17. Disagree. They're decent but no where near an 11-0 team. Every close game went their way and there are so many horrible teams this year that they feasted on. They can't run the ball and they tend to play down to their competion. Defensively they have the statistics but again overrated. Ben throwing the ball 50 times again shows they have no balance on offensive and is a sure recipe for a short playoff stint. Bottom line is they are very unimpressive. I never buy into the theory that the good teams find a way to win, in the Steelers case this year they've just been plain lucky. Plus it was a horrible decision by Tomlin to go for it on 4th and 1 and not to kick the FG. It was only a 45 yarder regardless of a new kicker. Maybe if it was a 50 yarder you go for it but but not on a 45 yarder.
  18. These are the kind of events that when they trend our way it goes a long way in determining good winters or at least decent winters. They pop up inside of 3-5 days and aren't too complex. Of course they have a ceiling limit as far as juicing up but definitely can be noteworthy light/moderate events.
  19. Let's hear your game plan with a below average QB that has had no practice and hasn't played a game in a year. Maybe you forgot about the depleted offensive line and no TE's. Plus the mediocre receiving core to begin with. Come on, give me a break.
  20. I definitely remember that squall. It was a good one.
