  1. And you forgot to say the back edge is already showing up.
  2. BWI: 3.7 IAD: 4.7 DCA: 2.7 RIC: 1.4 TIE: 1.07
  3. As soon as the operationals pick up on the mjo and soi they respond almost immediately just like did for the January storm.
  4. I went conservative because I'm worried about sleet. If we stay under good banding we can hold off the pingers. On the other hand I've seen DC switch to sleet and it races up here an hour later. Nonetheless it's a fun event to track and my bar is 4.
  5. My best guess for us is 3-4. Then sleet for a couple hours. Then a pretty good glazing. Would not be surprised if we flip to sleet a little soon than expected as the warm nose tends to race north in these type of events. If it holds off for a bit due to better banding then we could do well. I dont think we get above freezing until very late tomorrow evening perhaps midnight. I think our max potential is 5-6 if we can snow a little past 18z with some decent banding. I'm going with the euro. It been rock solid so far. Hopefully it holds at 12z.
  6. I do as well. Were in a good cycle of late season storms the last 6 years or so and I think that will continue this coming March. I received 10 or more inches of snow in the last 5 out of 6 march's 3/2013: 10.0 3/2014: 17.5 3/2015: 12.5 3/2016: dud 3/2017: 12.0 3/2018: 15.0
  7. I need 6.5 to reach 30 for the season. Regardless of my average anytime we reach 30 I'm satisfied for the year. 30 inches for a winter is nothing to shrug off.
  8. No doubt. This was the storm where the ravens and eagles had home games. The rates in philly were sick.
  9. Temperature wise I was exactly the same that Sunday. It was 27 when the first flakes started. Temp dropped to 23 during the snow. I got 7.5 from that storm but did better a little better than you on the storm 2 days later where I recorded 5.5.
  10. Kosher dog with fried kosher bologna with deli mustard. Can't beat it.
  11. Yes, there are a lot of real good people here. I'll never agree politically with them but they respect the debate and my views.
  12. The overall mentality has not change but there are more newer neighborhoods and developments like mine that have a more progressive way of thinking. Still plenty Confederate flags flying like PSU said.
  13. I'm a lot more low key than you lol. however I won't take any of the sh@t either. They automatically think everyone agrees with their beliefs so when I go against it they cant stand it. On the day of the presidential election, as I was walking into Manchester valley high school to vote a bunch of locals say to me " I hope you're voting for Trump " my response was " I HOPE YOU'RE NOT ". I wish you could see the expression on some of their faces when they find out I'm half Jewish. I love it. I could go on forever with the stories but this really isn't the right platform for this but you already know the drill.
  14. I think HM mentioned something about a recurving typhoon yesterday in a tweet. JB also referenced it. This feature would probably be the kick in the butt we need to get things rolling if in fact that possibility is still on the table.
  15. Yes. It's now really drilling down the cold. Gets our area almost into the low 20's at the height of the storm. Want to see this trend continue.
  16. Interesting how the further south the weekend storm goes the better the look for early week improves.
  17. Between the short range models and long range models, today was probably the worst day of tracking we've had all winter long. Downright bleak. Just atrocious. Reality has set in for me but I'm still all in until the end.
  18. We all put a lot into this. If I never got into weather and sports I would be a lot more pleasant. Tough hobby. The losses hurt more than the wins are rewarding
  19. We were all duped. There was no reason to think it would collapse. Euro seasonal never flinched. Looked great. The one red flag was the CFS v2. It never agreed with the other long range model. JB was always concerned about that
  20. I knew that was coming. I didn't watch today but I did yesterday and he was baffled. Basically speechless.
  21. All good points. All the deb's should realize that almost every system that produced snow in our region specifically targeted us. We've actually been pretty fortunate. If the December storm was a hit the perception of this winter would be different.
