  1. Yes, getting some really nice dendrites now. Darker skies to my west. Temp holdings steady at 28. Nice snowy day.
  2. Heaviest of the day. Solid moderate. Sun is fading away finally. 18.
  3. Picking up here now. Almost moderate. 1 inch.
  4. Wish we would get more of these events every season. I love cloudy cold days with some snow falling.
  5. You know it. We still have over .5 though. Probably squeeze out an inch. Even though sun is breaking through it's still snowing just as steady as it has been all day. Temp is around 15.
  6. You know its frigid when it's snowing very lightly and the sun is out and not one flake is melting.
  7. Steady light snow. Temps hovering between 11-13.
  8. I got 2 inches from that one. No doubt a top notch squall. We got close to an inch yesterday and that was decent but it took an hour to achieve it Going back to the 85 squall, there was some weird stuff that happened right before it. It was damp out with some light rain and fog. Then it suddenly got breezy for short time, then suddenly dead calm and out of nowhere a few random flakes started falling. The flakes to this day were the biggest snow flakes I've ever seen. That lasted for about a minute and then out of nowhere a sideways wall of white swept in front of us. Almost looked like a tornado sweeping across the road. Then total whiteout.
  9. Finally some people remember this event. The most intense squall I've ever seen and probably this region outside of garret county ever saw. I was 12 at the time. My father and I got caught in it. Snow was coming down so heavy I has to get out of the car to clear the windshield for him. We were about 10 minutes from home when it hit and took us 2 hours to get home on reisterstown rd. About 4 inches sounds right. Haven't seen anything close since.
  10. I'm at zero now. There are a lot of weather stations in this are at or below zero now.
  11. Snow continues. Light but steady. Looks like after the main line went through there was some minor back building that is keeping the snow going. Been snowing for over an hour now. Usually these events pull out quickly but this is lingering. Probably picked up an inch. Temp is now 18.
  12. 1/4 mile visibility with S+. Winds weren't too bad at first but picking up now. I would guess about 1/2 inch so far. Definitely not worth chancing the drive home.
  13. Coming down very heavy now despite better echoes to my southwest.
  14. Moderate to heavy snow. Winds calm for the moment.
  15. I just jumped up to 27. That's the little spike I talked about yesterday just as front approaches.
  16. Clouds moving in. Quite breezy ahead of front. 25 degrees.
  17. Half inch from morning batch that mostly melted off. Then a solid 3 from afternoon and evening round. Total 3.5. That maybe a bit conservative.
