    Typical summer day on the south shore. On the wrong side of everything. Too far north for convection and too far south for good stratiform rains.

    Nothing wrong with that, this happens maybe 1/10th of the time.

    Good, we could use one of those 3” type days. Had some flash flooding in the city earlier. Pretty epic rates during the peak. Visibility was down to less then a mile.

    Just on the fringe on the uws. Lots of lightning and pitch black. It’s about do go down as the main cells slowly move east

    Not a drop of rain on the uws. Everyone should cash in tomorrow though.

    Just getting to work on the uws. Hoping the cell didn’t miss just to the south. A solid coating will limit my having to water all day.

    Very true, that’s not cement by any stretch as it would have stayed open. Looking forward to a less injury filled 2019/20!

    Yeah the MDR is doa. What I’m looking for this year is for a wave to make it close to home before developing and take advantage of the bathtub between Hatteras and Bermuda. Something like a Bob.

    We could use one of those 2”+ type days. Newly planted Trees are starting to brown on the wantagh parkway. It’s pretty par for the course for the south shore, we seem to get a local drought at some point most summers. That’s why historically the immediate south shore had a strip of pitch pine scrub forest which can handle dry better then deciduous trees like tulips found on the north shore

    Those storms off the coast would be great if the were 30 miles further north. We really need the rain on the south shore

    Another day another precip fail in wantagh. I’d say we have crossed over into official drought here.
