    Upton still not confident yet to hoist wsw for nyc/Long Island yet. Will be some rain at the onset of precipitation tomorrow, but I don’t think too much qpf gets wasted as liquid before changing to snow.

    Euro track looks like snow (1-3 maybe) to rain for nyc and Long Island. Too close of a track.

    Depends where you are. Barely a dusting in most of nyc yesterday and again so far this morning.

    I think the storm follows the boundary layer of the temps. As of now it looks like the Euro is the most likely scenario.

    Had just about 2 inches here in Sheepshead Bay. Been raining and above freezing since around 6:30 pm.

    Just started snowing in College Point Queens where I’m at now. Very fine flakes.

    28/14 here in Sheepshead Bay. DP slowly creeping up (was 10 at 6am) as the upper levels slowly start to become saturated. Radar looks like snow should be making it to the surface as close as south-central NJ.

    You can literally here the winds howling just above the surface here at my job (Inwood Nassau County just east of jfk airport along the south shore)

    Wind seems to have died down quite a bit over the last hour or so.

    From my experience they usually don't ban tractor trailers from the NYC bridges unless there is a high wind warning issued. They do have their own wind measuring instruments on all the MTA-TBTA/PAPD controlled bridges to keep an eye on things. I wonder what the threshold is for them to actually declare a ban. Could also have been a more northerly component to the gust that flipped the tractor trailer then what has been ongoing since yesterday. That bridge runs basically E-W.

    Tractor trailer just overturned on the upper level of the Verrazano Bridge. I'm guessing it was due to the wind. Surprisingly they didn't have a tractor trailer ban the last 24 hours with the wind the way it has been.
